AUDI A3 REVERSE CAMERA INSTALL *finally* 😱 

Thank you heaps, it was really great help and right information in this video. I got my stereo and both cameras installed by professional car audio installers but nothing worked properly... All Audis are particularly complicated when installing after market eBay head units and cameras. Rear speakers are dead if you have standard A3 concert factory radio (Extrons fit directly only if you have Bose system) so additional wiring needed to be done, at least Extron provided diagram on their site. Rear camera was a nightmare, voltage drop and distorted picture, but it's been fixed now. Thank you.

Fitted similar camera to my Audi TT Mk2 noting that my chinese head unit had a seperate canbus box. Because of that only needed to connect the yellow plug and red cable at head unit. Red cable connected to the reverse cable tail supplied on the head unit, not the amp cable. Because of the canbus box it detects reverse selection and provides the power required.

Nice video, I’m have the same set up of xtrons stereo and xtrons camera and fitting camera tomorrow. Only difference is mine is a3 cabriolet, so will need to work out the cable route along floor! Can I ask where did you get the rubber floor mats or did they come with the car? Thanks 😎

You don’t need a relay if you connect all wires correctly. At the rear is correct, but in the front you have to connect the red wire to the cable which says “reverse” on the multimedia

A reverse camera on an A3 man If you can't reverse that you shouldn't be driving. I only use reverse camera on a van or lorry. The only time I find them useful 🤦🏻‍♂️
