Thank you for making and sharing this great review. I am considering buying a car just like this, and found your information helpful. I have visited Estonia 10-12 times, and most of the time the weather has been nice.
I really like that timeline's design of Audi, it looks very nice. The previous timeline models I am not a fan of, but still okey. This one is very nice looking. Some things you mention that you don't like are quite nitpicking. For example, so what if the cover of the trunk is not automatic, it takes 1 effort to drag it back down and close the trunk door. But I understand that it folds and you can't see anything behind, so it is kind of understandable, but what sort of situation has to happen for it to fold it and block the view? The only nuisance is that when you close the backseat "doors" that the lid/cover folded on its own, that's the only annoying thing I noticed, and I think it's not supposed to be like that from factory(?). Going for a 3.0 Diesel? Wont it be expensive for the fuel economy? 2.0 petrol is cheaper that way.
I have a 2012 Audi Avant 2.0 s line. This car started drinking oil at about 40k. I had the pistons, rings and timing chain replaced at 55k miles about 6 months ago. So far so good.
Great reviews. Keep up the good work! I'd like to ask you: What would YOU choose: A4 B8 2.0 TFSI or Lexus IS250 - both 2008??? Thanx in advane for your opinion!
+Trevi Trevi That is not a easy question.. having driven both for some time i will say it depends on how u use the car and also the history - Lexus will be more reliable, but if anything goes wrong, even the small stuff can break the bank because B parts are not available! Audi on the other hand has known geargox and engine issuses, but regular stuff will be more affordable. Audi feels a alot more sporty - driving feel can not be compared - its like Lexus is a soft and wollowy, Audi firm and sporty. And also i think Audi is a bit more modern and sits better in todays traffic. In the end.. if it were my money i would probably go for the Audi - but if and really only if it has had its gearbox and oli burning issue taken care of.
Hey! What exactly do I need to look for in the car specifitcations while searching on mobile de, for example, to get the colorful display behind the steering wheel and not the red one?
Actually there is no way to search for the tacho colour screen.. but if the car has navigation, or for example ACC it was not a option. Generally better equipped cars have them.
this and if you dont mind diesels the 2.0tdi. These newer CommonRail TDIs are very reliable compared to the previous PDs, they are more reliable than the turbo petrols sadly :/
basically find a car that has an engine rebuild done and a brand new transmition? cuz thats what the car you drove has,and its maybe one in 10.000 cars...
The oil consumption issue plagued 2L TFSI engines on 2008-2011 cars. My car had it. Never repaired it. Last week an absolute idiot drove into my parked car 😢. I need a replacement car. Unsure whether to go for post 2012 A4 or something else.
@@stig5763 thanks man . I got the claim settled, got a good payout. I also purchased a 2015 B8.5 a month ago. It doesn't have the oil consumption issue 😊
Very problematic. These cars are money pits. I know I still own a 2012 Audi Avant that I purchased new in March of 2012. Total cost of ownership for me is $85,189 after purchasing a new motor from Audi today. The car has 67k original miles. Love the car though!
This car has no S-line exterior pack, only S-line interior (those exterior s-line badges are not from factory) and the gearbox is multitronic not s-tronic. Document more before you do any review.
Dear Sergiu - the car does have S-line badges from the factory - yes, it's not the full S-line exterior outer package, but its the S-Line sports package and with the S-line interior. Also, the FWD 2.0 TFSI has Multitronic, this car, the Quattro is S-Tronic - maybe do your homework, before you start to criticise :)
