Appreciate your question, this appears to just be how my camera captured that colour, in reality it does not look so 'organey' as it does in the video. It has a more red/purple colour to it.
I clean the bottle I ddnt see anything wrong with the plugs and when the weather is hot it over heats 🤦 then wen the weather is cooler it dsnt come on do you reckon I should replace the bottle instead ???
I'm not a licensed mechanic, this is just how I replaced the coolant overflow tank. For me, after I replaced the tank/bottle I did notice that the cooling of my car was much more stable. For the price it was a great replacement I got the level sensor problem resolved and the coolant flow seemed to be much better as well.
I did not, the system is a closed loop, I'm betting it does this all on its own. Remember I'm not a mechanic just a handy guy who posted this video for others to see how I did this replacement.
Would you recommend me to replace the sensor itself since that’s where it’s leaking from? I replaced my coolant tank with a new one and it still has the same issue… Leaking from the sensor
I'm not a mechanic and I just posted this video to show others how easy it could be. The sensor is not removable, so I'm not sure how you ended up with a new reservoir and the sensor was leaking as well. New reservoir means you get a new sensor as well.
Correct, the title makes it easier for others to locate this video as it has no relation to how to perform the work demonstrated. Technically is it a B8 as the B8.5 is a variant of the B8 :)
