Hi I had the same problem wouldnt it be easier if someone isn’t too handy with wiring to buy the ballast with the pigtail and just unplug that one pigtail from the other end in the headlight? Plug in the new one? Great video I just don’t have confidence I can’t wire it up so I’m hoping the other end of that pigtail comes out!

@@ProWebCrypto yes, but to access the other end of the pigtail you have to disassemble the headlight much further. It was actually less invasive of a job to just splice the wires.

@@HalfClickUp thanks for your reply. I’m waiting for my wife to get home with the car! Ugh I’m hoping I can pull it out and try to get it plug in there without having to take the glass off. Or I’m hoping the one connector (the silver thin one that plug into the bulb - non pigtail one will be enough to fix my headlight. Since that’s the one that was cracked and corrected. Thanks again

Great video. Hi I just got a ballast for my 2013 Audi a4 after finally put it all back light still doesn’t work. 😢 the connectors were so corroded and one came off the metal holder but I heard it clip back into the ballast. I’m hoping this repair you showed works. Thanks. Also because only the turn signal works does the passenger side light have a fuse and relay? I was told. No the fuse and relays are for both lights.

Thankya Sir. Repair has held up flawlessly so far. Longevity yet to be ultimately confirmed, but it’s quite promising to date.

@@HalfClickUp any idea where the fuse is for the passenger side headlight ?

@@therealdeal33 in the black block of the driver side box, check fuses 6, 7, and 12. Those three are for both headlights as a unit, so if your driver side is still working, then odds are it’s not fuse related.

@@HalfClickUp thank you yes the driver side is working and the passenger started with the bulb then the round hallow lights around it went out. Only the little parking and turn signal work on it. I changed the ballast and bulb today no luck. I’m going yo try your method in this video. Wish me luck. Thanks

@@therealdeal33 yep sounds like you’ve exhausted all options like I did. There’s no ignoring corroded connectors, though. I learned my lesson!

@@DorkasaurusfluffyRex so far so good.. they’ve roughed in the plumbing and should be pouring the slab next week. Let me know how that timing advance works out!
