Considering a ZOE delivers about the same range with a half-size battery than the e-tron, I always think that an electric engine concept just does not work with a high 2.5 ton SUV. They should have developed something like an A4 Avant or A5 first. AUDIs are really superior to Tesla in terms of interior quality and such, but they really need to adjust. Hope the e-tron GT is more like that...

@SURFpal
@SURFpal 4 года назад
Or more diplomatically: 95% of the grid power is from hydropower that quickly can be regulated to preserve 50Hz (60 other places) since production must always meet demand. This is a big problem in countries that have fluctuating solar and wind power. If that is the case you must pay someone to consume power when clouds disappear or when you have wind gusts. I heard some countries pay 10 cents to other countries to receive one kWh at daytime when there is sun and thermal wind, and in the evening they charge their own people 30 cents. And they struggle with dynamic loading in their grid that knock out grid nodes. And they must have coal and diesel power as backup. They must be very rich to afford that.

Your response was to tell me I am bugging you by asking questions about where you’ll go next, and then to insult everyone in the UK “the people are sh*t”. How am I or anyone else who doesn’t religiously watch every live stream supposed to know what questions are okay to ask you, and which ones you’ll be bugged by because other people have asked them before? Also, you don’t need to be so rude. I’ve lost a lot of respect for you now to be honest. I think the popularity of your videos has gone to your head. You make a living from doing what you enjoy. I was simply asking if you had considered it, and that it “could be interesting”. Being interesting is not necessarily the same as it being somewhere that would be your first choice of where to go. I just thought that as a video blogger and road tripper you may be looking at travelling to new places, to get more exposure etc. Sure, the UK has lots of problems and downsides, and right now a lot of people here would probably like to move to a different country, like Norway, if they had the choice. @Alex Petrov, Time normally fix everything, time and divine justice surely will take care of them. I mean Tesla will take care of them, for sure, as they will have problems finding enough buyers to buy their old contraption with expensive leather seats,

It is with great satisfaction to see this Audi contraption failing so bad. After Audi force fed its Engineering prowess advertising for years, claiming to be at the forefront of technology. While at the same time shoving 30 years old diesel technology to unaware customers, purposely rigged to hide the cancerous soot that spewed from its exhaust that poisoned people and nature. But they are not done with shameful false advertising yet. Because now, apparently starting to become frantic, they are implying to predict the value of a new Audi purchased now for years down the road. I don't know what is said to customers in the sales booths, but it isn't hard to imagine judging by the advertising content. Audi, I have news for you, an ICE Audi purchased now with the incredible sales success of far better performing of many BEV, in a space of a few years will sink the value of a new Audi purchased now for an exorbitant price, to levels of insignificant value, because there will not be many fools looking to buy an old, and I mean old ICE Audi. Especially when the maintenance levels starts to really hurt their owners finances.

Of all the EVs available today, this is the one I would buy LAST. Audi’s new numeric naming convention is the stupidest thing they could’ve come up (other than their diesel cheat software). I’ve seen a grand total of 3 e-Trons on the road that didn’t have manufacturer or dealer license plates. Why Audi/VW chose not to offer OTA updates for their brand new EV is a mystery. They are just stupid! It also doesn’t offer phone key, which I love on my Model 3.

The cost translates to approx $67,000 US for the ETron 50. With the ETron 50, You went basically 160 miles at less than 60 MPH (55 mph actually). in those conditions ( 30 degrees F approximately). Pretty pitiful range and you didn't have pax load nor reasonable speed. No one drives 55, not even Sammy Hagar. 205 miles for the ETron 55 ( winter). Still pretty pitiful. Audi just doesn't have much range. Heck, a Chevy Bolt will do better than either of those vehicles.

This car is so ridiculous. Check the winter range test of the e-Niro! The e-Niro did 341 km with it's 64 kWh battery at heavy snowfall! That's nearly the range of the huge Audi 95 kWh battery in summer! The german's should really focus on grilling Bratwurst and stop trying to build electric cars!

This is for all these people who "need" a huge SUV for city driving. I hate these people, most of them seem to be driving really badly too for some reason ;)

That's not a car, that's a tank... or a 4 wheel panzer: you put 4 adults and some cargo in it and it goes over 3000kg and you probably won't even get 200km range @ 93km/h! haha
