How is the audi twice the price? In my country portugal the vitara is more expensive than the audi, final price depends on a number of factors.

@@jge123 Let's see... Vitara GLX (top spec): 30 k. Audi Q2: starts at 30k with no options and a 1.0 TSI. The difference is smaller than it is in most countries but it's still like 50% with comparable equipment levels. Saying the Suzuki is more expensive is BS.

@@jge123 With Audi you have to buy all as extra....you start without a steering wheel and seats...from there it just takes off!

No it didnt. What planet did it pass that test? Driver had to turn the steering wheel back and forth to get off them sideways. Q2 completely failed the one wheel test

samurai uses classical locked diff for 4wd/4x4 whatever (in reality, there's no real or different names for four wheel drive, every manufacture have their own, please check that once for all, it's just branding). vag have something similar with their synchro 4wd drive, it's archaic, but does the job on real off road etc. audi torsen (torque sensing) is very efficient in higher speed /revolution in snow etc imo, it's not designed to be tractor with gigantic wheels and slower rpm in 1 meter of mud. as for real world 4wd use for normal use in normal family cars , today's technology is just fine, it's fast, responsive etc, only maybe not that strong (but again, we're not talking about real off road here). as for me, some audi avant with mechanical torsen 4wd is still best overall pick in average car with 4wd. i don'r want that stupid suv cornering, i want agile, fast cars which can deal also with some snow/md etc, and maybe tow some trailer/boat for summer. suv's are mimic, imo. if you want true off road car, get one. if not, any normal car with any modern electronic 4wd will be just as good.

​@@4x4.tests.on.rollers Well, I own this 1.4 BoosterJet AllGrip. It's a soothing feeling to know that this car has a real 50-50 4 wheels drive. Nevertheless, the AUTO mode helped me getting through snow and mud quickly many times. The price-performance ratio of the Suzuki is extremely good. :)

@@heikohehn7619 LOCK mode was used in comparison with A6 Allroad.

Not quite right - over 60 km/h the mode goes back to what you previously had selected.

...Common, the only reason I have a vitara is because I don't have money for the audi. The ratio price/quality is better in Suzuki, but the Audi is safer and a mile away in comfort. Still, I like my vitara, managed to go on some places where i wouldn't dare to do it with an audi.

黃祺元 Vitara is lighter, but Audi has 400 Nm of torque, almost twice as much as Suzuki (220 Nm).

Vitara is a popular car and it is an example of budget car with very well tuned awd system. I don't know if the best but definitely one of the best.

Some foresters electronic system work better than even some lockers out there...ive seen Foresters get through places where even a Land Cruiser got stuck...

@@4x4.tests.on.rollersMoże źle się wyraziłem. Auto łapie przyczepność na krawędzi rollera czyli kolejne koło pomaga wyprowadzić z poślizgu. Podobnie będzie jak skręcisz koła. Testy na rollerach nie oddają rzeczywistych warunków.

luisinhoens90 Torsen based quattro used to be better, but now that is a pensioner. New haldex systems may be much more effective.
