@@AhmedSam Oh boy.. I've a lot of questions 😂 u r not the most liked guys in the industry I talked like 1 or 2y ago to an electrical engineer who also worked for cariad and he told me the main reason why everything is so shitty is that the management is so greedy they don't even want to give out money for chips that would be essential for the bare minimum. They want everything to be as cheap as possible without caring about the outcome. What do u say are the 3 main reasons why everything about vag software sucks ass? I mean it became a lot better if u look at the ID7 but it still sucks.
Here's some feedback for VW group, get rid of the boring cubic design guy and make more sporty exciting stuff like the early 2000s... this thing looks like a budget SUV from Malaysia...
So why have vag gone from the most amazing easy to use interior of older to the crap that is ID cars that you just want to strangle the engineers. Stupid screens,,,,,
Ofc the charge port should be placed on right side when drivning on the right side to make street charging much easier. In Europe many rely on parking/charging in larger cities which makes this an important choice. A interesting challenge to prove this wrong would be to charge only along Streets with the included charging cable (max 5m) five days. Time consuming ofc, but emulates everyday life for many europeans.
You are 100% right. I just swapped my ID4 to a Polestar 2 and the charge port location is just about the only thing I miss from the old car. Right rear corner should be standard in my opinion.
Definitely one place that needs improvement. Hopefully the stuck door glitch can be fixed with a software update. If something blocks closing, the door should reopen.
@@dalex6641 is it motorized on the Q4? On the Q6 it should be the same as on the Q8 etron which closes the port automatically. Thats probably what happened when he pulled the cable out but didnt put the cover back in place
they're owned and run by German auto makers, arval and all their counterparts elsewhere. They will always buy entry level German cars, it has nothing to do with specs but more with collusion and companies owning each other.
Really like this car. Great styling, charging, features, etc - but man the price is ridiculous. In couple of years I perhaps find a good offer from used market.
Audi has finally taken a good step in the right direction. The values finally correspond to a premium brand again. We can only hope that the software etc. does not have any errors or teething problems like the charging flaps (it is a stupid design with the small DC flap by the way)
It is not good step. It is FAT BIG m.-..f...r , 5 000 000 000 people in the world buy this car, and planet is DONE: WELL DONE. Go to shcool study ecology.
@yesitsme-qr1ntinterresting point. No idea… but the new port sucks… why the flap? Why open to the front not the top like Id.7? Why motorized when you use a classic flap? The old was cool and because of the angle not really an issue even in hard rain.
@@rkan2 Audi used to be the first carmaker who managed to make an all Aluminum car and produced some super lightweight cars like the A2 in their ICE era. So im not impressed by the PPE platform in terms of weight saving and expected far more. Especially as the platform was a cooperation with Porsche who makes light weight sports cars, i really expected the Q6 to be a much lighter car. I guess they are using more steel for cost saving, which is the case for the Mercedes EQE that is barely lighter than the EQS. Yea looks like the A6 will be very heavy as well since its on the same platform unless they decide to use more aluminum as Mercedes with the EQS since the A6 is supposed to be one level above the Q6 in terms of car segmentation.
nice video … but actually surprised the difference between the Q6 and Q8 is not more … You’re Q8 recording was done in the winter with winter tyres that easy going to take 50-70 kms off the range leaving you with the same number as the Q6 +- 10-20 KMS
I was really impressed of the „next level shit“😂, it’s not the bombastic „Vorsprung durch Technik“ but a good featured car, and the 800V system is impressive like in each 800V car. The charge port‘s problems are - hopefully - a single matter… not in line with the quality expectation of a 80.000€ car.
My Q8 55 etron uses 25 kWh per 100 km at 125 km/h speedometer with cruise control and good weather, that means 400 km, the same as your results with the Q6 Basically the Q6 is 10% more efficient and has a battery 10% smaller than the Q8 etron 55 Nice improvement, not really game change Q8 has 15-20% discounts as of today, and Q6 barely something .. this means the decision is not that clear I understand you get paid for airing the press releases and commercial slogans provided by the manufacturers PR teams, but sometimes, like today, it is too noticeable 😂😂
Sucks. Had to drive a ID.3 for a week while my model 3 had some paint work done (mom with shopping cart ran into it), and every single time I drove off after charging, I had to stop again, close the charge port manually and be on my way again. Don't know how Tesla does it, but their auto-close function is wonderful.
23,4 kwh is still not good enough. I run my 55 e-tron at around 27 in complete mix, and the 3,6 kwh more is totally ok for me though the comfort (esp. noise) is better. And i absolutely dont like the look of the Q6, but thats only my personal taste.
So odd that it didn’t stop you in your lane when you weren’t taking control of the driver assist system, VWs will do this and I’m pretty positive Audis are supposed to as well. Why wouldn’t it? Maybe the feature is disabled? Or the Q6 doesn’t have it yet?
Bjorn, awesome video. Looking forward to next Q6 videos like Sunday drive and 1000km. I have 2021 fat e-tron. After you press start in navigation, you can press the checkered flag and it will show you SoC at destination.
Thanks again, Björn! You have now driven both Q6 E-Tron and Mercedes EQE SUV. Can you (or someone else?) summarise it briefly why would you choose Audi over the Merc, please?
The recuperation is controlled/influenced by distance control even if adaptive cruise assist is disengaged. That is probably why it wouldn't gather speed at first.
Great review Bjorn, loving all the content you are creating 😀 im waiting for my SQ6 to be delivered to Hamar 😊, your reviews have me even more excited 😂
Bjorn, keep the good work going, you influenced me to move from an ICE vehicle to an EV, (love my Cupra Born) one test I would like to know more about is V2LHG and what exactly that means.
NIO shows battery percentage at arrival. Anyway, nice design and a lot of money for a car. There is a lot of noise coming from the tires. Is it rough asphalt or noisy tires?
You should check while coasting how much power the drivetrain is using. Some cars may have more of an "active coast" where the inverter plays a role, and some more strictly shut down the inverter. The first one of course will give an unfair advantage as it's using energy from the battery.
Disengaging the cruise control seems so counterintuitive. If someone faints, falls asleep... while driving and the car has the capabilities to perform a controlled stop and/or go to the side of the road, you should do that. Not just let it crash at full speed.
It’s a beautiful car. But the leasing rates in Germany are extremely high. There are no rebates or compensation of the subvention that has been provided by the government until last year.
A few glitches, like the stuck charging door, that there will hopefully be a software update for eventually. Still, looks promising. I'm jealous that we are probably 4-6 months away from having the Q6 here in the US.
Good to see such a positive review of an Audi, Bjørn. Encouraging to see that they are finally recovering following a couple of dark years. Still a little skeptical about the user interface that looks overwhelming. On a side note, Bjørn, I have to ask you what Speedometer app you are using on your smartphone? It looks very clean and not so over engineered as the speedometer apps I have been trying and uninstalling.
Can you test the car with 130 km/h on the highway or somewere else where it is allowed instead of 110 km/h. Most highways have around 130 km/h, this way you will get a more proper range and consumption when driving on the highway. Dont know if you can go 130 km/h in Norway, but maybe somewhere where it might be posssible?
Can the driver screen be changed to show a speed dial & rev counter ? I’ve watched the new A5 & A6 reveal (they all use the same dash now (shame)), but they all show a car in the middle, why would I want to see a miniature version of what I’m driving in the middle of the dashboard?? Hopefully someone will put my mind at rest :)
Great car from a driver's perspective, but really unfortunate that Audi keeps the material quality at such a low level (almost averyware). There is really very much cheap hard plastic in the interior and it is unimaginable that Audi would add its name to this. After all, it is not a cheap car. What do you think about this Bjorn?
Its not the best looking, crazy expensive and not very efficient compared to cheaper cars, f.i. the Enyaq or model Y. At what point does the comfort justify a purchase? Or is it just that people want to be seen in it?
@@baizerx is it more premium tho? It looks kinda cheap.. Seats look great tho. U only really use that fast charging on holiday and stuff. Still has 11kw ac charging i think?
"The weight is not bad for a fat German car". You're hilarious sometimes Bjorn 🙂. It might be better than most cars you've tested so far but it costs twice as much too. So is it really worth it value for money? I'm not convinced
Did you open the trunk after the car wash or during rain? I always have to problem of tons of water getting into my “fat” E-Tron. Did they fix this issue? Thank you for this detailed test!!
Does the charging port comes with some function in relation to Norwegian winter for those who parks outside?🤔 one of the things i hated with my tm3 was that it freezes shut. Alongside with trunk, frunk, doorhandles, door window and so on 😂..
@@davidstud3952overall yes 270kW when charging with 800V, but when at slow Chargers the car splits the battery to parallel 2x400V and charges then with 135kW.
It will suck ass like most 800v cars on Tesla. Often it won't work and if it does it will be charging quite slowly, 50-100kW depending on the converter in the car.
Not a car for Austria. In Austria is the “Luxury tangent”. Above 80,000 €, a car is only private expenses. From 40,000 € to 80,000 € the formula is 40,000 divided by price is tax deductible company expense. My new Tesla Y SR RWD comes so to 90% company expenses.
@pegefounder Very easy to understand: Tesla Y is a low middle class car because of its low price and technology approach. I will give you some examples: no second driver display, no HUD, no LIDAR, no radar, no ultrasonic sensor, unergonimic seats, very simple construction of chassis, body ride, no air suspension, no electric trailer hook, low level of noise insulation etc. pp. Teslas are made for people who don't like and don't understand cars.
Thank you Bjørn! Maybe you could reach out to Kyle from OutOfSpec to hear if you could get the permission to "copy" his 10%/15minutes charging/range challenge. I reckon it's a perfect imitation of road tripping jumping from charger to charger. Would love to see it on more European cars!
IRL I do think the range is disappointing. My i5 with smaller battery goes quite a bit further. Promising for the A6. Reaffirms my objections to electric SUV’s.
BMW i5 is in a different segment. Compare against iX instead and the consumption is about the same. It means that A6 should be able to match or maybe even beat i5.
@@bjornnyland q6 and i5 are same price. But my point was how much range you lose by getting an SUV. I briefly considered getting a Q6, but the technical advantages are nullified by the SUV shape. Beside, the if is a class above the Q6. It is 20k more expensive. (And the ix 40 really has an embarrassing range, so I’d need the 50)
@@bjornnyland mate its too long, i dont really care if it has 15” or 20” screen or whatever else, came here for the range but cant spend 30 min to find out, im sorry! 😞
