what an animal!! i love it...i usually don't get excited over to many european cars but this is something special...good vid.. these aren't being driven all out.. either they are nervous because of the speed or they are too expensive to risk driving any harder. i don't blame them. who would want to destroy these beauties?. that would be a dream to drive.. i envy these people.
Baffled by how many S1s are around. I remember in 1988(?) during the Race of Champions, organised by Michele Mouton, that Audi themselves could barely put two S1s into the event. They were scouring Ingoldstadt for bits and pieces...
I feel the driver is driving the car very carefully. Probably because the car is rare and expensive. If you want to see the real thing of this car, see the Group B Rally video. You can see that car 'flying'.
Gehrt's car is the Sanremo car and Petrolicious did a video on it. It did not go into much detail, but it was fascinating to watch. Rohrl did sign that car. Plus I believe Gehrt used an Audi coupe to build his car which supposedly has the right windshield angle (factory cars used the Audi 80 angle).
i would like to know why when this car gears up looks like it is braking, its possible to see the front of the car falling, and he does a strange (and beautifull) sound every time gears up, a sound similar of rubber friction.
Corey Forman straight line it will kill them but on a stages the 2018 WRC are they fastest they have ever been because of modern suspension, aero, brakes, and tires tech. 400bhp limit this year helps too.
When you question people "what's the perfect car", you get answers like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Shelby,... and Sport Quattro. And there is a distinct difference! All the others are perfect, because you cannot add anything to make em better. But the ugly duckling Audi is perfect, because you cannot remove anything. This car screams "forward". And it does... go forward. Put Walter behnd the steering wheel and it will go faster than any other car.
@@Surestick88 037? Poor thing LMAO If you said Lancia S4, that would make sense. Also don't forget that a special version of the Audi Quattro S1 was made for Pykes Peak and broke the record and it wasn't beaten ever since. It's an eternal record.
