These two-door cars are both feisty and good to drive in very different ways: the German-engineered, Japanese-badged Supra with its inline six-cylinder and rear-wheel-drive, and the fully-German Audi with its all-wheel-drive grip and hard-charging four-cylinder. Definitely the TT for me. In my OPINION (so peronal preference) the Supra has a pretty ugly front end and the interior has nothing on the TT. If speed was the only factor then of course the Supra but for me i look at a car as a whole. Looks, specs, feel and ... and i think the Supra has more hype than what Toyota actually delivered. So both nice cars in different regards but overall the TT looks and feels much nicer (sat in both). at the end though its a personal preference and each person has their own priorities. Plus i live in Toronto so lots of snow and tha quattro is just a no brainier for me. Great review btw!

The TT is the winner. A simple stage 1 tune and the TT instantly gives you the performance for more fun plus the every day daily driver.

Wow, that TT is over priced in Australia then! Supra is more expensive than a TTS let alone a TT 45TFSI in South Africa

Wow hard choice as both satisfy a niche market but any smallish coupe is to be rewarded including the Lexus RC and 86 twins but these 2 do different things and Audi more practical but Supra has really grown on me despite its lack of true Supra genes but if only could have one the TT would be in my garage I think.

You could always stick a simple Unitronic/APR stage 1+ on the Audi for 375HP.

What about the TTS? Given the the more powerful engine of the TTS, how would that fair against the Supra?

I own a 2021 TTS and it’s just incredible! I’ve driven a lot of cars and it’s so much fun! I love the MK5 Supra as well but something about the TTS does it for me. Maybe the brutal launch control.

I weirdly prefer the Supra, even tho it gets hate, once you get past that, it's probably the best value sports car there is out there. I love the looks, the price point is very good, its really fast, faster than I thought actually, it gets attention everywhere, and it quite practical, and with an ECU tune, I've seen these cars getting close to 450hp and with a turbo upgrade, you would easily beat a lot of fast as hell cars

Very understandable, and a large reason why the Supra did so well in this video. It's an excellent car, and some people put too much weight on how it came to be. That's just my 2c. -Tom

@@chasingcars Yeah, I feel people don't really want to move on they are too hung up on the oast and that's now how it is or cars like the Supra to be available and at the price point it is, it is really good, but if i may ask, what do you think if the new Toyota Mirai

Iboy Dafreshest Love the new Mirai. Hydrogen shows a lot of promise - especially if it is wrapped up in a RWD sedan that looks as good as the second-gen Mirai does Hoping I’ll get to drive one this year.

I bought a 2015 TT sline debadged black edition 20inch wheels fully optioned in OZ in new cond, 4 mths ago and love this car, as it is a super car at a budget price, sure supra is available for 95 k twice the price, .My 7 year old TT looks better than a brand new Supra and if I had a TTS or RS Id have way too much power. It is a low cost R8 mini version

2020 is last year of TT as we know it and Audi plans on a 2022 electric TT.

The Supra already looks very outdated next to that Audi. I liked it at first but I'm liking it less and less each day.

Exactly why i went with the TT. Supra looks good from behind but the front (specially) and the interior look older even though Supra is a few years newer than the TT. Both great cars at the end

@@chasingcars No, not entirely.. However, am not bothered.. If Toyota wanted to make a Supra from the ground up, it would take development, production chain and tooling, sourcing and manufacturing.. all of which will push the price to a 100k.. so why bother, get a good base to start from and slash all that headache and extra costs and sell it for a $50k

Assembled in Austria from a bunch of German-made major components...

BMW have ceased development of the manual gearbox for the B48. While their *suppliers* might be doing it, Toyota are paying the bills.

@@nessuno5403 the mk4 has a 2j that's outsourced from the aristo plus the chassis thats outsourced from the Lexus SC 300/Toyota Soarer. Yea their toyota parts but it still has parts outsourced from 2 different cars pretty much throwing it in the same case as the mk5 then.
