When he says “we let the bible interpret the bible” they mean they take random verses from random places and force them together. For example, 144,000 from Revelation and the Great Crowd and then force them into John 10:16

I do think often that jws think that other religions have no clue about the bible but the truth is there are people from different Christian groups who know the bible well and then there are people who don’t know it so well, the same in the jw religion too

this is chloe from the usa. u really held your own and i'm so happy u mentioned that 1989 watchtower. that was so well done since it came straight from their own material. they can't refute it can they. u really knocked him down off his high horse--lol. i was born into it and left when i was 25. now i am 57 and i really enjoy all these audios. i will listen to the next part===u made my day...thank u.

Interesting that he says, "obviously you've had a chance to think about what you want to know and we're coming to this not knowing what you wanted to discuss." That's how they do home Bible studies with people. And they are the sweetest people. But they come prepared with their books, their study guides, their watchtowers, and any other information they could possibly need all lined up and go popping here, there and everywhere through the Bible. And when the usually very unstudied and unprepared person they are teaching says wait, wait - that and that and that don't sound right, they take off down another rabbit trail with all their prepared answers and detours. And there sit most people, knowing this isn't right, and not really able on their own to counter it. Kind of like how this man doesn't really know what to say when you try to pin him down on something that's not quite on the topic he had planned to talk about.

Thank you Dawn for this. You kept your composure very well. I couldn’t do it at all. This gentleman clearly doesn’t have a clue and that’s why he’s deflecting. It seem he’s only there to count time. It’s really telling that the average JWs cannot explain certain beliefs without going to their literature. They are so clueless.

I just had a conversation with another Arian cult-- the New Heaven and Earth Church, and they operated in the same level of dishonesty about what they believe and practice. I think its a cult thing.

At 52:32 he says that this issue of obedience is critical - I agree, it's not necerrary for Justification but it is for Sanctification. Contrast Romans 4:5 with James 2:21 both deal with Abraham, the first says he was not justified by works and the latter says that his woirks did justify him. The resolution is that James is speaking of works before men (Sanctification) and Romans is before God (Justification).

My dad, an elder, says adamantly that only JW can be saved. When i spoke of Jews being saved, he said only if they become JW. So they definitely believe they are the only ones.

Understanding what James is talking about!!!, read Galatians 5:14 and 18 "14For the entire Law has been fulfilled in one commandment, namely: “You must love your neighbor as yourself.”" "18Furthermore, if you are being led by spirit, you are not under law." So insisting to be under law, you are without spirit. Thanks for sharing. "The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. " KJV and not from their twisted book of demons, NWT. 2 Timothy 4:22.

When I talked to JWs about translations they had said the same about modern translation and the KJV was hard to understand. I said the NIV & ESV are translated in modern English. I asked if scholars that translated the NWT new the or orginal languages to which they said yes. I asked can I find who the translators are on JW org to which said oh yes. Of course it doesn’t say who but they left my house when I said there are some big differences in translations that can affect the meaning. They left after that.

11:45 Actually, woman, I don't know about the whole debate yet, but it's not that he's avoiding your questions, he's just establishing boundaries and a foundation for his response. They do this for two reasons: 1) many people don't actually use the Bible against Jehovah's Witnesses' ideas, and 2) if you bring up ideas without the Bible, he would shut down the conversation from the start. When Jehovah's Witnesses debate, they believe that people don't rely on the Bible as much. So, your position might be that you disagree with the WAY they interpret the verses, not that you deny the Bible. Jehovah's Witnesses are mistaken in thinking that you can't disagree with them without disagreeing with the Bible. That's a common misconception.

" we can go to Hebrew 11..." If you go there you are told that Abraham and others before Jesus is supposed to go to heaven. Verse 16 "But now they are reaching out for a better place, that is, one belonging to heaven." Read furthermore in verse 13, 35, 40 and Matthew 8:11.... It's a big laughing... "Our super accurate translation".... It's so twisted so you don't know where to laugh or cry.... It's all a gigantic joke.

He states he wasn't prepared to respond this morning to the literature he puts his trust in? What! He also challenged you to prove that the jws believe they only will be saved. When you provided the evidence, he was dumbfounded and then had to do more research. It never ceases to amaze me how a Holy Spirit filled Christian who knows what Bible doctrine is can do quickly dismantle jw theology so thoroughly. Praise God! Your word is truth.

This elder should be ashamed of himself. He beat around the bush during the whole conversation. I don't think he had a clue about what the Bible had to say. He couldn't answer what he was asked regarding the 2 class of Christians.

It’s your very amenable approach to the Witness, and then the comments on the video which make him out to be a fool. It’s not a respectful way. You will never reach any JWs using that method.

Regarding Salvation here are a few points. Why does Paul say that Christians are in a race and it’s only those who finish the race again the prize.? Why are we told to have endurance if our salvation is already sealed? Paul stated that fornicaters, thieves etc will not enter the Kingdom of God. I know many Born Againers (the real deal…..argued with them for years) who then left even became a child molester, one of them. So my take is. Yes faith is needed. But if it isn’t backed up by works and endurance it’s useless.

FIRST I notice you did not provide evidence that I was DECEITFUL or NASTY. You reply with arguments about belief. You accused me of those things, so either back it up or apologise for your attack on me. SECOND Nobody is saying that we should disobey God. We must obey Him and sin is very serious. If you read Romans chapters 3-6 you will see a theme --- 1. We are saved by faith and it is a GIFT 2. Should we use this as an excuse to sin? NO (see first few verses of Romans 6). The admonition to endure is part of the Bible's guidance for Christian living. We must be Holy just as He is Holy. Yet Romans (the whole book) explains that we are not saved by our own works but by faith and the new Testament is clear that the fruit is OF THE SPIRIT (in other words, without the Spirit of God it is impossible to please him anyway). FAITH = Salvation and then a REAL Christian will have good works to prove that they have the Spirit of God who has changed them inwardly. As Jeremiah said, those in the new covenant are given a new heart and as Paul said, it is NOT as a result of OUR OWN WORKS Eph 2:8-10, Titus 3:4,5. Our ALIVE FAITH (James) is alive because we are given the Spirit. If we don't have the Spirit our faith is fake and dead. People can be really convincing when they are pretending to be Christians. That is why James said we must see the good works which proves their faith is real and alive (via the Spirit).
