You're the best Chris. I remember looking for something like this some 3 months ago or so and found nothing or terrible tutorials. This is gold - Thanks again
i guess im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would love any tips you can give me.
Nice. I can't say I understood all the theory back this, but just by mimicking what he did, I managed to make an exceptionally silly visualizer for my exceptionally silly Brian Blessed sampling electronica project.
1:50 Good way to expand 50MB limit is to convert your music to mono. This will double the length of the wav file and since mono is used only by AudioWave it will not affect sound quality and make your life easier. :)
Considering the length of my stuff that wouldn't help. When dealing with 800mb-1gig audio 50mb is too little. I might could do it at 100 or 150 but 50 I just can't squeeze it. Too bad they don't do mp3 instead of 16 bit wav.
@@mentalplayground Yep, I played with it tonight and I can't do this. My 90 min sound would take me well over a day or two of constant rendering. My video card is old but this doesn't use it and reminds me of my Core 2 Duo days.
very nice Video ! but i don't have any wave file under 50 mb , and i can't compress the file without loss of quality , is there any chance to work with bigger files in this programm ?
This is good and all, but the end result is out of sync with the actual audio in the video... you didn't show how to sync up the audio file that the fusion composition uses to the audio that actually plays and is heard in edit mode.
hi man , thanks for your tutorail .. i am experience som problems my timeline does not start from 0 .. so all the audio is not aligned to the audio spectrum. do you know how to resolve this issue .. thanks
6:18 My images won't show up. I preview in the right window on the Transform1 node but I see nothing whereas yours shows the image. Nevermind it turned out that the right preview was zoomed really far out and also to the side so you could not see anything in the preview
Hey how do I time the second part of my effect I am having trouble with that I split it into parts but can not get the second part to play after the first they just try and play at the same time? how do I split the comp I am very new to Resolve
hiii this was a great tutorial im just running into the issue of not being able to hear my audio after making the effect. i could very well just be missing something obvious but do you know how to fix this?
I know this was a year ago, but did you ever figure it out? Could be that you need to place the audio on a separate track in the timeline, and/or make sure that track's sound output is enabled.
I shuddered when you said to convert an mp3 into a wav. Though if an mp3 is all you can get, with no wav available, there is no other option than to convert it.
I got the same error and even though the audio file was under 50MB I had to split it up into two smaller using audacity. Try it that way, I had to youtube how to split and save files in audacity also. Not too hard.
I have one question. In the AudioWaveform1 settings I don't have 6 options but only 4 and unfortunately I don't have the spectrum one. Why is that? Do you know anything?
Hi Chris, Is there a way I could bend the waveform so instead of being flat line it would be a semi-circle? I've tried transform or gridwarp, but they aren't really what I'm looking for. Obviously I could be doing stuff wrong as I can never get the nodes to do what they're supposed to ^.^
@@mechaphone I gave up. I found one solution, but it looked like crap in the end. You're better off creating it in another software that makes it easy, render it mp4 and then put it over video as overlay/video layer(with delta/chroma keyer to get rid of black background)
How do you smooth out the movement of the background? Because when I link the scale of the background to the music the background just keeps bouncing up and down and it's actually a bit painful to look at.
Or if you mean it's bouncing in scale too drastically, I would say try decreasing the first number (set to a value of 1 in the tutorial) or adding a decimal multiplier in the expression for the background's scale, like Chris does at about 17:12
@@ZachShaub Yes but that doesn't actually smooth out the movement, it just decreases it making the bouncing up and down less noticeable. That's not what I want.
@@Szymks Are you sure you have the correct node selected when viewing the spline, and you've checked the box on the left for the "Scale" modifier in the Spline window? Like I said, I haven't used this particular preset yet, so I'm kinda guessing my way around here. Sorry if I get anything wrong or seem presumptuous.
Too bad about the 50 MB limit, it makes it all but unusable for music. 50 MB is about 3 minutes of audio, I happen to have an ambient track that's an hour long :-)
1:34 the audio will 99% of the time be in the project so it's really dumb that it needs a reference to it a second time at an external location that might have it's path and reference broken at any time in the future if you move that audio file. That's so dumb
Make sure that your background is the lowest video layer on your timeline tracks. Video 2 (V2) shows above V1, etc. If you have the background connected as one of your fusion nodes instead, make sure the background connects to the background merger and your audio waves and logo are the foreground.
Butni alway get the problem that it is like almost only shown the bass and deep tones and the high tones arent really shown... that in this video too. Also its not very smooth. You can fix that smooth by using the steady wave and setting the framemeasure higher than 1 but this doesnt fix the problemthat mostly the bass is shown. I tried it with a song that has very much high tones and very few liw tones and it resulted it not showing much high notes...
Around 4 mins you can see a setting on the right of screen for filter. Turn it on and then select the mid band to show visualiser for 300-3k. Or use the high band If you prefer. Hope that helps.
