Never had such a clear explanation of anything that otherwise, in less capable hands, would have simply confounded me! Not just rattling off the features, but the real world benefits of same and how it all works as opposed to other systems. The best line though was. "...talent that likes to push buttons." Priceless.

Have you used the Sony UWP-D16? I'd like to hear your thoughts on a comparison between the two. The only thing keeping me from the System 10 is the lack of an XLR option to plug into a boom mic or handheld. mic.

Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to use any of the newer Sony wireless gear. The lack of a plug-on transmitter for System 10 is indeed a bummer, but could be worked around with an XLR-to-Hirose cable plugged into the bodypack transmitter.

Been looking for reviews videos since I've owned one of this for a year but started to use it until recently. Yours has been the best video yet. I hope you can answer this. I'm connecting this into a zoom h4n via a Rode xlr adapter (I have another wireless, a rode link) so, would I need to switch it to balanced? I did it while connected directly to my camera and my videos didn't have any sound when playing on mobile devices. But sound was good when played on a desktop. I moved the switch to non balanced and sound was ok on my following videos. Now I need both mics at the same time, hence the zoom and 2 xlr adapters. Thank you

Since the XLR inputs on your Zoom are primarily meant to connect to microphones, you'd want to use the System 10 receiver set to balanced output. However, you'll want to confirm that the audio cable you're using is also wired as balanced -- if it's not, you'll need to switch the receiver to unbalanced. (Balanced connections are designed to reduce noise and interference that long audio cables can pick up, but since your cable is relatively short, it doesn't really matter if you use balanced vs unbalanced.)
