The System 10 wireless audio system is versatile, simple to use, and offers three levels of diversity assurance to provide clean, interference-free audio. Shop at B&H: bit.ly/AudioTec...
I have 4 of these set ups and also the handheld mic. Very reliable and sounds great at 20hz to 20Khz frequency response. Very good investment. Love the System 10.
When going from the lav to the handheld mic, the audio was significantly better. The lav lacks high frequencies and has way too much low mid range resonance.
I can say its because the omni mic on the lav is pointing outwards away form the voice. Frequency response is same as handheld at 20hz to 20khz. I wish they would revise a new lav for it positioning up towards the voice. I can hear that issue as you do and a while ago I have tested this having both lavs and handheld. Although lav omni, It sounds so much cleaner with high frequencies coming through almost as good as handlhed if I take the lav and direct it towards my voice on my shirt and not so much outwards.
Great video! Is there a powered battery pack for the transmitter and also an adapter from 4 pin to dual rca for djing and throwing wireless sound? Also, how is this system as far as going through walls. Thank you
+Daniel Salas This system, like most other wireless devices is not capable of effectively transmitting through walls or other solid obstructions. The receiver outputs a line level signal on a 1/8" mini port easily adapted to the RCA inputs of a DJ mixer. bhpho.to/1S4pVhu >Mark
Great review. I like the system, but going to something like a Sennheiser system a better way to go? Sennheiser obviously more expensive, but is it worth the extra $. I'm considering reliability, build, and performance.
When would I switch to dual mono or balanced? I'm using a lavalier mic with the system 10 plugging into a canon 700D. Which setting would you recommend?
+Greenjah81 Yes - no problem at all. Be sure to use one specifically designed with a locking 4-pin HIROSE connector for Audio-Technica wireless transmitters: bhpho.to/1RIBzP1 >Mark
paired with a JVC GY HM 170UA would you recommend an adapter for XLR audio or shouldn't it matter? We will be doing a lot of outdoor on the lake filming our fishing show. Also do you prefer a specific wind screen for this model?
+Tribal Fishing Adventures also can I mount two receivers onto my camera system and plug them both into the JVC GY HM 170UA or do I have to have two cameras each with a receiver? Just trying to avoid having to sync two audio voices in post production.
+Tribal Fishing Adventures The ATW-R1700 has a single audio output jack that accepts the 3.5 mm ( 1 /8") cable included in the package. Use the Audio Output Selector Switch to choose between a balanced and an unbalanced dual mono signal. +Tribal Fishing Adventures Two separate receivers may be connected to your camera simultaneously by connecting to the dual XLR audio inputs using a pair of these: Audio-Technica CP8306 Adapter Cable for Pro 88 W Wireless System - Balanced XLR Termination bhpho.to/1pOzElt One of these would prove handy as well: Audio-Technica AT8691 Camera Shoe Dual Mount for ATW-R1700 Digital Wireless Receiver bhpho.to/1UXeM8K

+Harut Hajin A quality wired microphone is always recommended over wireless. Wireless should be a reluctant choice for when using a wired mic is simply not plausible. That said, the Sony UWP-D11 Integrated Digital Wireless Bodypack Lavalier Microphone System would be my choice for wireless as well. Mark S
Gaaaa I want the senn g3 because I read all these reviews saying they are better but these still seem like good quality and are much cheaper, but not quite as good.
I'm extremely curious how this compares to rodes new lav system. I need to pick a lav up sometime in the near future. I think senheisers also got a new system coming out. Thanks for the sweet content b&h
Spencer Moret I like the Rode RodeLink Filmmaker Kit for it's overall performance. I give it the edge over this new Audio-Technica system. But Audio-Technica offers the more versatile system in various configurations. The new Sennheiser AVX systems are wonderful but cost more than twice the price. +sizzlingjoeyboy In actual tests, I feel the Audio-Technica System 10 outperformed the RodeLink system. It is also available in different configurations not offered by RODE. Please contact us via e-mail if you have additional questions: askbh@bandh.com >Mark
