Converge and Alexisonfire were often called metalcore for some reason, but when i hear the term, I think As I Lay Dying, Trivium, Haste the Day, Destroy the Runner, It Dies Today, All that Remains... All those bands had a pretty uniform sound back around 2005 - and that sound is what metalcore is.

Just my opinion, but I’d say they are one of the most consistent metal bands of this generation! Definitely check out their new work if you haven’t already!
