And she has never looked more beautiful than she does in this concert. Probably the best concert I have ever seen. Just amazing from start to finish. Thank you guys, you are awesome too 💕
I agree 100% with you, Mike - watching Ginger react to Aurora enhances the experience. Now I urgently need you guys to react to the brand new Aurora-song "To be alright"
That lump we get when we see Aurora at this concert. I see from the 'Once Aurora' documentary that her family is seated in this audience. Imagine what it must feel like to see your youngest daughter absolutely captivating a large audience like this. Hell I couldn't even begin to imagine what that must feel like especially as a parent myself . Especially for her mum who persuaded her to share her gift... how proud she must feel... I imagine Viktoria and Miranda are somewhat used to it because they do travel around sometimes with Aurora. This performance is stunning. It should've been released as a blue ray of the whole concert.
Forget Kate bush this girl is on a different level, she is without doubt the best singer songwriter out there, this song is a masterpiece in the art of songwriting to take a subject that most people would shy away from and produce this is pure Genius if you did not cry though out this song and feel the pain and emotions in these lyrics there's something wrong.aurora is special,a breath of fresh air there is no better live performer out there the love and humility the shyness such a humble human wow! Breathtaking the world is a better place with her music in it.artists like her don't come around very often we are so privileged to have her.GENIUS.WARRIORS LET LOVE CONQUER YOUR MINDS.❤️🍏❤️🍏❤️
Aurora is brilliant, but I'll never forget Kate Bush. I like her singing more than Aurora's, and I like Sigrid's singing and music more too. It's a matter of taste, and that is individual.
I never noticed it before, but look at Mike's eyes when Aurora says "I'll bleed in your bed, turn it Red" That makes me laugh. And you look like you're having an eargasm while listening to this. Can relate. The great thing is she sings it differently with each performance. I like how she does this with most of her songs.
Wonderful reaction as always to Aurora. There is another version of this song where it is just her and her wonderful backup singer, Silja Sol and an acoustic guitar which is also quite beautiful - slightly different but nevertheless just as soul stirring! I think you have mostly listened to her older songs - you might enjoy "The Seed" and I would recommend the music video (her live performances are fantastic, but this video is something of a masterpiece). And one again I will put in a passing reference to Life on Mars ;)
I hope your journey with Aurora continues. On the occasion of the death of Leonard Cohan (one of her great role models), a concert was given in which many singers performed songs by him. Aurora was one of them. She sang "Famous Blue Raincoat" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E-UG5hxgvDE.html from him. A live performance that is second to none. Unbelievable good. Parts of the song will be familiar to you. The world hit "When I need you" (by Leo Sayer) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CezRRt78EYQ.html used the same melodies for the corus, which caused a lawsuit that cohan won. I think this Aurora cover is definitely for both of you. The song is original from 1971 and thanks to Aurora it still sounds like back to 50s. I was born in 81. This type of music completely passed me by. But when I first heard that, I felt like I was back in the 50s. It was absolutely great. Never heard of this before.
I _had to_ go watch that as soon as I knew it existed (having finished the present video). It's now my second-favorite version of what is _probably_ my favorite Cohen song. For my personal taste, I still prefer the Jennifer Warnes version (studio version with a still photo at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bPlpxHhzSp0.html ).
What a wonderful song, isn't it ? I love Aurora so much... just discovered her maybe one month ago. Have you reacted to her rendition of David Bowie's "Life on Mars" ? That song is unbelievably beautiful, too...there are three different performances of this song on youtube, also at this venue here, but you can practically choose any of those three, they are all fantastic. Best wishes from a German Aurora fan : Gerry
I haven't even started watching your reaction yet, I am actually having goose pimples on my arms and tears in my eyes as I write this. OF COURSE, you can't pick a favorite Aurora song "especially" when she does like 10 different versions of every "ONE" song she has...... BUTT.... This is definitely I think my favorite, her voice in this song in the middle and the end....... "Are your dreams as dead as they seem?? Doooon't you speak over myyyyyyyyy voice".........dude, I feel it just thinking about it!!! I can't WAIT to watch your guys' reaction to this!!!!!!! Here We Go.... I LOVE Aurora, and I am a Metal Head: Slayer, Metallica, Iron Maiden.........many more......but Aurora......I found her 3 or 4 months ago, and "EVERY SINGLE MORNING" when I come off my graveyard shift, I am able to be transformed, transcended, and moved in ways I have actual never felt........I don't care "who" you are, you hear Aurora, and........."something happens".........more amazing than the written or spoken word.... Ok....seriously this time.....here.....we ..... go...!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A mesmerizing storyteller. Aurora has more though, look at "Daydreamer" from the HAIK concert and "Conqueror" live on Jimmy Fallon's show ( You will love her outfit on this performance Ginger) to see her upbeat, smiling and dancing with joyous abandon. In "Daydreamer", Aurora says "I know I'm just a girl but can I change lives?", I think you, like all her fans, know the answer to that question.
Great reaction as usual. This is great performance is so great in song technic, beautiful and drama but for me is Lucky in Nidarosdomen is more atmospheric and haunted beautiful. I hope so much that you do this sometime.
Great reaction! This was another spectacular performance by Aurora. I’d suggest as a next reaction another song at this concert: Lucky live at Nidarosdomen. It was amazing!
The space is where she would spend all day when she was a little girl. Also, the camera pabbed in her sisters, Victoria and Miranda abd her parents too. She dedicated that song to them. They are the couple at the very end who hug and kiss.
Get you, Mike. Ginger is especially enjoyable when enjoying Aurora, for sure. A really masterful song, just quality throughout. If you should want something more upbeat there are wonderful songs like Queendom, The River and Daydreamer, to mention some. The videos for these are really good. The River and Daydreamer are great at HAIK. You are so good.!!
Aurora is from another planet, that's why you should react to her song Mothership 😉 and before that her cover of Life on Mars from this same concert in Nidarosdomen. Enjoy! Love from Norway 🇳🇴 ❤
Absolute best song she did in that church is called “Lucky”. I really enjoy your reactions, keep it up! Aurora is one of the most amazing singers I’ve ever heard in my life and I have fallen in love with her music!
I didn't realize you reacted to this one already. Loved your reaction. I feel the same way. She takes my breath away with every performance. There is no one like her out there. This whole concert is breathtaking. Have watched it like 5 times so far. Thinking of doing it again soon.
I think you would absolutely love Aurora doing Warrior in the HAIK documentary ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LE1_l-r2aG4.html And, yes watching Ginger's reaction to Aurora performances is a highlight, love your videos!
Love watching reactors reacting to her. She is so authentic and talented. Sweet voice, and amazing song writer. She not only sings, she feels her songs
"I feel your reaction" 😀..one my favorite with Aurora Yes, the acustik..in Nidaros dome is excellent, I have been there in a consert, unfortunately not Aurora.... 🇸🇪
this version is insane, but even better is the version from the HAIK concert where she performs it in her very own childhood forest. This song is a MASTERPIECE. as simple as that. she paints her words like the artist would. The lyrics are amazing. But as i said, try the HAIK version too :) you will not be disappointed.
I love that you mention Kate Bush, cause that is what I have been saying. I joke that I was born 20 years too late to marry Kate Bush and 20 years to early for Aurora. Because I kinda love the same things about them. They are both female songwriters that breaks out at a you age. And both are so fiercely themselves. And musical geniuses. If not for the fact that there are probably 100 times more artists today than in the 70's I think Aurora would be as important to music as Kate Bush has been. Oh, and actually this song has striking similarity to Kates Wuthering Heights. They are both about ghosts coming back to haunt their lover. Also, the Björk song you are thinking of is "It's very quiet" and she also uses pauses in that one. But this song is an Aurora original.
First time I've seen this version, though I've seen two of my other favorite reactors take on the song in the "live studio" version. It's just Aurora and (I hope I get this right...) Silja Sol, who plays acoustic guitar and contributes harmony vocals to... about a quarter of the song. On the second of those reactions (which I saw just a day or two ago), there was extensive discussion of whether or not it was better than this one. I'm now voting strongly for the other--in the intimate setting, Aurora is just so much more... fragile, I suppose, and it really expresses the song more fully (personal opinion, of course--YMMV. And we're obviously talking about degrees of awesomeness, either way). Do yourselves a favor and look that one up, even if only for yourselves. Good choice, though, and good job with it.
Hey Fun People .......good to have you back with Aurora and this beautiful and disturbing song about violence, abuse and getting even......., no room for comparisons, off course Bjork is one of the great ones...Kate is great as well, but Aurora is unique......just listen to this song and ...you can go from here.......... Aurora is different, you can't even tag her a style.....it's just the Viking Fairy Queen and her Love and Magic........she knows how to get the nest of us............we're lucky she's around
isn't she so special....? she has the amazing ability to connect to everyone's emotional core....this song is dark - about a complicated love affair that may be "dead"......."are your dreams as dead as they seem? I bleed in your bed, turn it red like the ground outside your window".........."love is wild" and not in a good way
I really would like to recommend you watch all her songs performed in the HAIK concert... she does a very different and harmonised rendition of this song which is personally my favourite. HAIK is performed in a forest where she grew up. A different kind of church. She is truly in her element in this setting. Please do try it. ☺️
What a voice. Great reaction by one of my fave reactors. Now it's time for some good ole American rock and metal Please react to the unique voice of Melody Cristea of Liliac (Lil-EEE-ack) - just released video cover of Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself For Loving You"
I noticed you put this one on your favorites playlist. In your own time, you should check out the version at the Current. It's just her and Silja, her backup singer. Different feel, but I think you'd enjoy it with the harmonies. Just thought I'd point that out since you put this on your favorites list. Hope you both are having a good day.
She's an odd cookie.. Sounds like someone took Kate Bush, mixed Bjork in it, and to top it off slathered a layer of Sinead O Connor on it.. and took some Japanese Manga singers for the higher registers.. And "Presto" : Aurora. Completely unique..
Great reaction as always! And I agree about the resemblance to Kate Bush, although they are different. Keep up the good work! Would love to see you react to e.g. Stina Nordenstam, Theresa Andersson or Jennie Abrahamson, if you want some more Scandinavian strong women singer-songwriters.
Yet again a beautyful reaction! 😊 For a more high energy performance by Aurora than you have done this far, I recomend you react to her song Gentle earthquakes live at KEXP Iceland airwaves. It's so energetic and lovely 😊 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M0iB_oVEyP8.html By the way, Björk was supposedly in the audience for that performance.
Another barefoot Norwegian singer for you to react to... Maria Franz - Songleikr: Ulvetime ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FF9mtpw365c.html Maria is also the lead singer in Heilung..... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h1BsKIP4uYM.html
