Hey mate thanks for your message. Have you tried contacting PlayseatHQ via their contact form? Not sure where you are in the world but they may be able to help you. Otherwise I would suggest looking at possibly asking a metal fabricator who may be able to laser cut you a plate for the Playseat to mount on. The plate I have is aluminium and not steel btw. Hey nate thanks for the kind words. The material is called regufoam and I cut the circles out of a larger straight piece of the stuff myself. It absorbs high and low frequency vibrations. If you watch my review of the HP Reverb ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rNS42AyPYo4.html you can see what it was like with the Vesaro / D-BOX system. With the 4250i set up in this video the range of movement is less than the Vesaro. To be honest I don't really have issues with shaking in VR. If you have ever been in a real race car which are usually quite bumpy to ride in you get shaken all over the place. Because the VR unit is strapped to your head and the whole rig is moving your head moves with the rig. I look at it like I am sitting in that car and when it hits a curb or bump in the road the shake you experience in VR corresponds to the real world equivalent. The D-BOX system is highly tuneable and you can dial it in to suit your tastes and whatever car / track combo you are driving. Hope that helps. If you have any more questions let me know. If you are starting from scratch and have the space, D-BOX advises the ideal placement for the actuators is a square, so equal distances longitudinally and laterally. Hey mate, to the best of my knowledge there are no OEM options for traction loss with the D-BOX ecosystem. In theory it should be possible to construct one. Then the software would need to be re-written to add the extra parameter. If this changes I will update this thread. Cheers, AussieStig

I am finalising my DIY sfx-100 actuator and bespoke platform for my sensation pro (£2.5k).

..Id rather put 10k into my REAL car....for that much money it better come with a hot Asian girl to install it.

Hey mate sounds like it will be a cool set up for sure. Not sure what the mounting solution is on your particular set up, on my one the PS is directly bolted to the platform which has the actuators directly bolted to it. There is no loss of haptic feedback on my system using this mounting method. If yours is similar you will have a great experience. Best of luck with it. Cheers AussieStig

Hey Winston, thanks for the kind words mate. Glad you liked the review. I have tried all their systems and like you, I am a road circuit racer. The 1.5 inch system, which is what you saw in the video, has a maximum travel from zero to full extension of 3 inches. so 1.5 up and 1.5 down. This is plenty of travel for the mainly heave and pitch movements of open wheel and GT cars. Excessive yaw is not required for the cars you mentioned. Driving the Nordschleife in a Porsche RSR or GT4 Cayman you get bounced around like a pea in a can. It is very circuit and car dependent though, some cars a stiffly sprung and others a little more supple which translates to a smoother less bumpy ride. The beauty of the D-BOX software is, it allows you to save profiles for car track combos giving you maximum range at all times. If you decide to go for a system be sure to mention my review / AussieStig to them as I am also their official sim racing brand ambassador. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on. @@SimRacingwithAussieStig Oh, that was a little bit unexpected (in a good way). I thought the 1.5 inch was just a full total length of 1.5 inch but instead, it's actually a total of 3 inches. Is this way of describing actuators an industry standard or just unique to D-Box ? Reason I am seeking clarification is because there are actuators that are rated 6" by other manufacturers but I don't think they mean 6" up and 6" down, do they?

@@aspiringmodernistchef hey mate, yes that is an industry standard description. It is the max stroke / travel of the actuator they are referring to. So 6 inches is from zero to max travel (6 inches). Hope that clarifies thing for you. Check out my Vesaro review the Stage 6 was equipped with the 6 inch actuators from D-BOX. Cheers

@@SimRacingwithAussieStig Yes, I saw that review too. It was listed as 4x 3" D-Box Actuators. Please correct me if I am wrong. So in this case, the D-Box 3" actuator has a stroke length of 6" whereas if other manufacturers list their actuators as 6", they really just meant stroke length of 6". Felt like D-Box is on a shorter length of the stick here.

Hey mate, thanks for your message. The D-BOX system is capable of producing very dynamic levels of motion. If you set it near its maximum output, it could quite possibly lift you out of your seat. With Playseat's GT style seating position and seat, it is deep enough for that to not be an issue. Hope this answer helps. Cheers, AussieStig

So well done in converting me. For the first time I had the money ready hence my frustration when I wasn't able to track the new and improved V2 anywhere. Hate to end up with the 2015 model.
