Thank you Karl, your updates on all migration related matters saved me from insanity for years as I was toiling away to reach Permanent Residency status, I was just a week ago granted my 189 PR visa after a whole year on BVA, and looking back at the whole process just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart and on behalf of those that are going through the system for keeping us informed and for pulling back the curtain on what DOHA is up to, which in many cases is very cloak and dagger. Even though I have reached my migration goals, I will continue to watch and support you and your channel as you have unknowingly supported us who have little to no voice in these matters. Bless.

I used to hate the Morrison gov, so labour won and thought finally things would go our way only to find out, they just made things worse😅 , I got stuck outside AUS during covid, after getting 90 points on 189 (262112) and never got invited, turns out it was for my own gud. Working odd jobs making point for 189 ruined my life. So having now where to go, I moved to Dubai to start a new life, but I didn't have any relevant experience in IT, had to start somewhere and now my life is on track finally, One advice -> concentrate on your career, don't get caught in the games (Professinal year, Naati, PTE....) AUSTRALIA play as u know they like to play it dirty, we are expats at the end of the day. its a very crucial time after uni don't muck it up, there is an entire world out there.

I personally made my choice to stick to Australia's game some 6 years ago and worked casual/part-time jobs during that time, and I was lucky to get invited so all the waiting time paid off in the end. However, I am 100% agree to not waste time on endless invite waiting and have a backup plan for your life, even though I didn't do that for other personal reasons while I was waiting. Yes, I did finally get my invite under Labor and jacked up quota in that 2022-2023 financial year, but I also understand that not everyone is as lucky as me.

@@anjum311 Canada, UK and US also tightened their policy on student visas as well as migrant numbers. European countries also become less of a fan of migration. It’s dark time if you want to migrate to somewhere else, unless you are born in one of those countries.

The unique aspect of your videos is the reflection of what's really happening in immigration world! I can't even imagine the kind of time, energy and close watch on happenings around to prepare one video! Thanks and keep up the great job, that no one else is doing it and in fact, not even closer to what you do. As per Dec end data, NSW has utilised only 300 out of 1500 nominations allocated to them under 491, which is just 20%, while already half the year is over. All other states have utilised nearly half or even more of their allocations, only NSW is sitting like a 🦆. People in regional areas deserve to get 491 soon as they need to wait another few years to get visa grant and then 3 years to get PR, unfortunate NSW is also delaying their journey further.

Hi Karl, what has happened to visa policy wrt parents, after submission of review report by high powered committee . Whether all sub classes stand abolished as recommended by committee and what are other recommendations accepted by committee. I see as of now no changes are reflected in official website. Hi Karl, your videos are very informative and specific to the students. I just want to know what will happen to the remaining allocation seats for 491 and 190 which home affairs haven't distributed to the states yet as there are very minimal seats for us to apply. Also, will there be any invitations for 189 visas as it was only distributed once. I have applied for ICT security specialist and Computer Network and Systems Engineer for 189. Bummer about the golden visa closures, though. Moving to Australia has been my dream since I was a child, and given that my career is much worse paid in Australia vs America, I decided to stay here and accumulate the capital necessary to get a golden visa, instead of seek sponsorship for a job there. So that's sad. :\ But that's life. Other opportunities will open up in the future, I'm sure.

Hi Karl, People who lodged their 190 visa in March-2023, can they get visa in couple of months or will be in the next fy July-2024. Because till now, "Received" status shown in the immi account 😔

On average 190's have been taking a year but that can vary considerably case by case. hang in there you are nearly done

Hi Karl! I am so disappointed in the Aged care Labour agreement. I am Russian. My company works with Russian speaking clients and they most likely are going to lose me because the company just cannot get through the process. They had tried for months to get a MoU but were denied by the union because they are Home Care and cannot meet the requirements! It is way too complicated and the requirements are impossible to make it happen in Home Care😢 Thank you for your videos!

Unless your occupation is education/healthcare/social worker, I don't think they will issue 189 invites in the remaining months of this financial year. The slightly positive side of this is if 189 quota remains the same next financial year, they can choose to issue regular invites once again starting from July.

Those multiple property owners just don't want to rent their properties out to benefit average Australians, instead hold onto them to their dear lives. Shameful. As for "foreign buyers", what I've heard is unless you are an Australian citizen, you are considered foreign buyers for taxing purposes unless you live in Australia long enough each year. Maybe government will crack down PR holders with tons of empty properties? If that's the case, it's not a bad initiative.

We don't know if it will be worth it to put so much effort and trust in a system that is clearly too much unpredictable and underdeveloped, specially for a country that has more than 50% of its population being immigrants. It feels like I'm paying rent and being forced out by the landlord due to some undisclosed reason. (Analogy). We are sad and we feel like we made a mistake in coming here. Australia should be better than this

I'll hang out for the rest of this year to see how the changes will affect me. Untill then I'm limited to saving money and hoping for a better future. I hope I can stay here more. Dear Carl! We know the freedom of information. Why they don't share clear requirements and process and also after rejection they didn't bother to share clear instructions for acceptance and reason of rejection. Recently I received rejection from acs When I explained them that I had provided everything as per their objection. Acs offer appeal option after paying amount

Any chance this year? I Applied 491 and 190 from ACT in 85 points and applied 491 from nsw regional in 85 points. Occupation- security specialist and project manager

Hi Karl, I will appreciate if you can answer couple of questions mentioned below: For 186 visa eligibility, do i need to show 3 years experience at the time of application or it can be met at the time of decision? My workplace is willing to sponsor me. However, my existing visa will be expired 2 months before i have accumulated 3 years experience. If i am to met 3 years experience at the time of application, what are the visa options you will recommend for me to cover the 2 months gap in my experience? My consultancy is advising me to either go with training visa or student visa? Please advise if its necessary. Thankyou.

3 years must be there at time of application. For the TRT stream they have flexibility for the short gaps but not sure about the DE stream if they are flexible. Book a time to discuss strategy plans

Karl, i have been waiting for my PSW 485 SE since 2023 sept 18, called them several times but unsuccessful. Anything I could do? I am really frustrated. I don't know what they want. They asked S56 for health insurance on 24 oct which was already added in the application but again we provide on 25 oct. Since then it status is on Further assessments but no progess. It's really hard not to take it personally. They are like taking forever. If they want something then why dont they call? What a dubious system? Unrealiable, lack of transparency.

Just need to wait them out. Plan your life where you are until the visa is granted. Remember even after it is granted you have years to decide when you wil remain ppermanently in Australia
