This is a redstone tutorial video explaining an automatic, AFK-able method for sorting out leather armor and other non-stackable, non-smeltable items from your other mob drops, which you are trying to cook down in to nuggets.

Ok Your concept is the only concept I’ve found that’s might work.... if you feed the loaded furnaces into a tnt chamber, you can probably resort and redistribute used furnaces automatically. Also in a mob farm bows make a perfect one item fuel that is sustainable and can automate. I’m gonna work on it tomorrow and see if I can take your concept to a maximum efficiency level. Thanks for the inspiration.... ugh I just want to autosmelt my armor

😄 Lol! I know what you mean - I just wanted to auto-smelt my armor too. And I've been working on making it better as well. TNT blasts seem to only (reliably) take out a flat 2 by 3 rectangle of furnaces. Any build-up larger than that and the outer furnaces may not be destroyed. Good luck! 👍

Thank you very much! I was talking it over with BadNews today and we might have a method of automatically dealing with the filled furnaces. If it turns out to be reliable I might be coming out with a 2.0 version sooner than I thought. 😅

After seeing this video, I thought of an idea to feed tape the emptied leather furnaces back into the smelting array so you don't have to afk the new furnaces in. The secondary feed tape would be small and pull out the leather into a dropper trashcan system and push the now-emptied furnaces back into the furnace array when another furnace gets pulled out. Now you have an automated system. No more afk😉

That would be very awesome if it could be done! Unfortunately, the only way I know of getting an uncooked item out of a furnace is to break the furnace. 😟 Hoppers are not able to pull them out. I've tried just about everything I can think of to do it. I appreciate the comment anyways! I'm always open to hear other people's thoughts and ideas. 👍
