In November 2023 I entered my first Autocross race along with my best friend. After my Chevy Colorado began having major issues at 180k miles I traded it in for one of my childhood dream cars. Soon after, my friend bought a Nissan 370Z, a childhood dream car of his. Now we both have Japanese performance vehicles built only about an hour apart from each other.
This race in Clarksville Tennessee was called Operation Cone Strike. We had 32 racers and 5 classes. I came in 2nd for my class and 14th overall. We were racing against purpose built track cars and drivers that have been racing for years. I could have definitely done better and possibly taken 1st in my class but I'm still very happy with my performance.
This video also serves as a precursor to my next few videos where we'll discuss how Norway has created a utopia for electric vehicles like Tesla.
