Question. I know people pre-rotate to around 200 RPM before starting their takeoff roll. Is it a reasonable idea that you could pre-rotate to a higher RPM if you need a shorter take off run?
Thank you Ron. I was taught to always prerotate once lined up in the runway for safety purposes. I've seen people prerotate before entering the runway and would like to know what procedure if any do you use for prerotating at busy airfields. Thanks.
I simply announced that I'll be stationery momentarily to spin up the rotors. Once you've taxied in position on the runway, you have the right of way for the runway.
When the cyclic is in the full forward position during pre rotation, when you release the pre rotation device, then the cyclic should be moved to the full aft position DURING the count of 1_2_3. As not to jerk it totally rearward at once.. Thanks for watching
My son is thinking about building a gyro, to keep that interest I’d like for him to ride in one. Do you do rides? If so, what would that cost? If you don’t, do you know someone in the four states area (Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, & Oklahoma) that does?
