Thank you so much for your valuable time and extensive knowledge on this topic. I have learnt much and am most grateful to you. God bless you and Shalom from Shirley 71 year old lady from SWAustralia
IBD definitely plays a huge part. I have Crohn's Disease (20 years), and now have all of those symptoms that you mentioned - as well as palpitations, myoclonic jerks and visible head tremors too. My family and I thought I had MS or Parkinson's! These diseases can be so insidious and it's amazing how little GP's know :( I'm getting onto my integrative doctor ASAP (but I wouldn't be surprised at all if blood tests show that my B12 levels are fine - and so she might not take me seriously). Thank you so much for this video & information though ❤
I’ve been struggling with stomach issues for years. Recently I was diagnosed with H pylori. I was given antibiotics and they ended a little over a month ago. At a recent doctors visit my doctor told me I had b12 deficiency as well as red blood cells aka inflammation in my body. I do now believe it’s related to my stomach. Also been having physical pains and it may just be all connected to this.
Thanks a lot there are very few doctors that talk about Autoinmune Gastritis which I have . My question is, this condition means that I have also Celiac disease? Thanks a lot for all the videos you share
You should be tested with Intrinsic factor antibodies and homocysteine. I have celiac disease and chronic gastritis. I had to eliminate gluten/rice/soya/eggs/corn/lactose and casein/and all the preservative.if you have any question goes for it
@@bluewave7120 my Mch was at 34 Mcv at 104, mpv 9,5. Now I developed high hemoglobin and hemacrotic 55%. I have been tested for the Jak2 mutation and hemochromatosis. Since my real issue that I developed as a child were Babinski and Hoffmann signs ( CNS neurodegeneration related to b 12 deficiency/Pernicious anemia) I am going back to the roots causes since I always had eosinophilia. Thank you for your answer 🙏
@@bluewave7120 however they prescribed me Folic acid and lately found out that I also had the Mthfr mutation. Did used methylfolate for a while but it seems that my body cannot process really well Folate due to my celiac disease. ( I am not forcing my body at the moment with organs meats due to my high iron/ferritin levels right now): beef liver helped me a lot
What about MCHC and MPV? I keep getting those flagged, sometimes just riding high enough not to but most often the lab flags it. I have Hashi and possibly LUPUS. Docs wanted to give me a PPPi for GERD but I refused because I don’t think they know what they are doing. I was told my flagged MCHC levels are ok because I have had them flagged for the last five years (have no other bloodwork before that to show anything else). So basically this is ‘just me’ and it’s normal. I’m confused. Why do the tests if you ignore flagged results?
After tingling in my feet and heartburn daily, I was recently diagnosed with Autoimmune Atrophic Gastritis & PA. I'm taking B12 shots for life. I still have heartburn and mild pain at the base of my chest, every day, usually before lunch. I've been taking gaviscon several times a day, which helps. Any ideas on how to stop this? I assume I have low stomach acid.
What he said was not true if you look at this RU-vid page called( this morning) a lady was diagnosed with B12 deficiency had all the symptoms of uncognitive walking her walking was wobbly I have the same thing anyway the one you need to look at it says woman thought she was going to die because of a B12 deficiency look at that RU-vid page called ( this morning) woman thinks she's going to die because of a b12 deficiency and she got cured from a holistic doctor she had a lot of symptoms but one of them was feeling like she wasn't stable in her walking
My 15 yo daughter has AIG as well as celiac, Hashimoto’s, and Ehlers Danlos syndrome. She has a stomach ph of 7, so very low stomach acid. She’s been severely iron deficient but her b12 is super high. Her dr has checked homocysteine and MMA to see if she has functional b12 deficiency and those were in range. Why might her b12 be so high and what other markers should be checked for functional b12 deficiency.
salman all the way her iron levels have improved greatly with treatment from a hematologist that specializes in iron deficiency anemia. Her dr says she’ll need b12 shots and iron infusions eventually but right now the oral iron protocol is working. She gets her levels checked regularly. Unfortunately, she received an additional diagnosis of lymphocytic gastritis and colitis this spring. Both autoimmune so she was put on steroids. Those helped a lot. I started her on a paleo diet 2 months ago in an effort to slow the ongoing autoimmune process in her body. I’m hoping it helps.
What level was your b12? Some doctors will insist 200-500 is “normal” but it’s actually on the low side and if it’s early in the process of the autoimmune disease it may overtime get lower & lower.
This is my case too. I think it means you caught it early. Because your body stores years worth of B12 it can pull from while your antiparietal cell antibodies do their destructive work.
I've been diagnosed with gastritis, peptic ulcers, liver cirrhosis (I dont drink alcohol) and pernicious anemia... I thought i developed it by using a liver cleanser which eroded the lining of my stomach. Do you think that could have been the cause?
@@Tabascobladedid they check your parietal antibodies and MMA? Do you also do B12 injections? I was just diagnosed last year and I’m doing injections and working through leaky gut. I may have to do the strict diet too.
Hi Aldo Aldi, treating the H. pylori infection often seen with this condition helps with serum gastrin levels but not with the thickness of the gastric mucusa [Annibale B et al. Aliment Pharmacol Ther. (2000)] Also, it is important for atrophic gastritis patients to be following up regularly with a GI specialist. Bismuth is being talked about in the literature but I cannot find a reference that it increases the thickness of the gastric mucosa.
@@aldoaldi2613 thanks for the reply. What I was trying to convey is that these are the standard mainstream recommendations for atrophic gastritis, and I want to make sure that patients know to be seen by a gastroenterologist and followed regularly to ensure that they are routinely checked.
4 years ago I was diagnosed with PERNICIOUS ANEMIA and I have tried everything I could to heal myself, but it was all to no avail, until I saw a post on a health forum about an herbalist preparing herbal medicines to cure everything type of diseases. including PERNICIOUS ANEMIA , at first I doubted it was real, but decided to give it a try, when I contacted this herbalist through his email and he prepared me a herbal cure for PERNICIOUS ANEMIA and sent it to me via the delivery service of UPS from the company, when I received this herbal cure. , gave me step by step instructions on how to apply it, when I applied it according to the instructions I was totally cured of this deadly disease within 2 months of use, I am now PERNICIOUS ANEMIA free, all thanks to Dr. Joshua Ighalo. You can also contact this great herbalist for help by email: drjoshua.ighalo@gmail.com or contact Dr. through his whats-app: +2349057958723 They also specialize in the treatment of all kinds of diseases, VIRUS HERPES , HEPATITIS B, CANCER, BRAIN DISEASE, INFERTILITY, DIABETES AND MORE.
Hi Dr, I would really appreciate if you can give me your advice. A year ago I started to suffer from many symptoms- Telogen effluvium( diagnosed by my dermatologist. Hundreds of hairs falling out every day.), memory issues, tinnitus, unexplained weight loss, insomnia,, tingling in feet, GI sounds, vision problems and many more. I did many tests and everything was good(thyroid hormones are good) besides B12 which was 300 and atrophic gastritis that was diagnosed by gastroscopy. I got 35 cyanocobalamin injections over two months by my dr and only now I feel much better. My MCV was normal all along. My father has some of my issues also and he eats meat everyday. he did a blood test and his B12 was 210. My b12 is now above 2000 but some symptoms still persists. My dr doesn’t think b12 is the problem. Do you think is there a possibilty that the cyanocoblamin doesn’t do the job its supposed to? Do you recommend homocysteine and MMA tests? Does elevated B12 gurauntee that there isn’t a deficiency on the cellular level? I’m 26. Thank you very much!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
