I have a standard AM FM radio in my 94 Sierra. If I remove the radio from under the dash, Can I tap into the Pre amp wires near the antenna input?,Then the MP3 Player should override any radio station. Do you have any schematics pertaining to these radios? I really want do add a MP3 input! I know how to do it with a newer Theft-lock radio, but they don't fit in a 88-94!
Awesome! One of the best instructions on here. Can you do a video on how to do an installation on a GM truck radio with built in CD for 2000-2006? I need to plug in my mp3 player, but it doesn't have an aux input jack. This one doesn't have the radio and CD player separate, they are all in the same faceplate.
Hi, thanks for putting the results of your experimentation and evaluation on RU-vid! I did try to go to your web site to find the additional documentation, but couldn't find it. I noticed in the video that you said something like 1K to 10K for the Data (pin 1 to pin 6 on the deck connector) Is that right? I used 2k ohm resistor for the data connection. I have completed my aux input mod, but it doesn't work. when I switch the 2k resistor across the Data connections, no change to the radio. Radio continues playing. Any ideas?
