AVATAR 2: The Way of Water - Movie Review (Non Spoiler) 

I loved it! You definitely described it perfectly!

The visuals and 3D were spectacular but this film had more heart than the first one. I actually really liked the characters, especially their kids and got invested in the story. An improvement for me and I really enjoyed watching it.

We enjoyed it, probably go see it again after Christmas!

A couple years ago, Cirque du Soleil made a stage production called "Toruk: The First Flight". Apparently, it takes place 3,000 years before the first film and it's about 3 Navi teens going on an epic quest to save The Tree of Souls from a natural disaster. Avatar already done the humans vs nature trope so why do it again? Do a movie that's only about the Navi while taking inspiration from this play. James Cameron can integrate ocean and its tribe into being part of the journey. And unlike the original, it could be like a play. The original was a man vs nature movie with action and glorious CGI. The prequel could be a mystical epic fantasy with lots of music and choreography

it was disappointing to see in the trailers, that the story is just gonna be the same as the first movie, a real shame especially with all this new content they made for it. but as someone who loves scifi and aliens, along with the ocean and it’s marine life, i’m ecstatic to see avatar again. seeing avatar as a kid really inspired me to a lot of things. i’m very happy to see this world come back, i’ll hopefully be seeing it after christmas with the family

I completely agree. It was beautiful to watch, but I felt the story was lacking.

I liked the first movie but was not sure about how this sequal was gonna go, glad to hear it was good.

I hate it when movies are just set-ups for sequels Not that Avatar was that. But more like Fantastic Beasts 2 was a setup for the upcoming movies for example
