Tim ÖhrstrÖm and Jonas Jarlsby from Avatar came by the Guitar World studios to play along to their song "The King Wants You" from their new album Avatar Country. Check it out!
I love how Kungen always seems so concentrated to get everything perfectly right, looking straight forward into nothingness and Tim really engages in his playing, making faces, tipping his toes and such :D
@@bananaclipper9343 They are absolutely metal. No question. Go listen to Smells like a Freak Show, Hail the Apocalypse, or (one of my favorites) When the Snow Lies Red.
@@matthiasvanhecke1283 I agree . . . But for me "feathers and flesh" don't sound that much like the others Avatar albums ( I love it anyway ;) ). Even the first two albums, melodique death with a very punk'ish sound, was more Avatar. For me it's something like : Thoughts of no tommorow 18/20 Schlacht 16/20 Avatar 21/20 Black waltz 20/20 Hail the apocalypse 21/20 Feathers and flesh 17/20 Avatar country 19/20 But like i've said it's my opinion ^^ Oh ! And sorry for my english, i'm still learning.
Gorgeous both!! 😍😍 They have beautiful hands, and I love how they play the guitar!! I've loved Avatar for over 13 years!! Glory to our King!! 👑😍❤️🖤🙌🏻🙏🏻
I never actually realised the depth of guitar in the verses before this video. This is so cool and I really like Tim's part around the rhythm. These are one of the most interesting and fun modern metal bands. Keep it up Avatar \m/
So awesome! Everything about that video, the song, playing, set, their style, guitars, etc. was bad ass! Very unique Vibe for metal! Dig! I will be checking out Avatar.
Splitty their last album feathers and flesh is great. Recommend you see them live if you get the chance. Their showmanship and live sound is an experience
Hi, I am Kunigunde, I am with the Knights, the Württemberger Ritter and I love Avatar so much that I was for three Concerts of them in Germany online in March thisYear. These boys are GREAT!
Is there any chance that both angles on the guitarists will be released separately? The camera-work is awesome but all the jumping around makes it difficult to see what they're playing individually.
I've been into Avatar since 2014, sadly I've only seen them live once back in 2015. I have to admit I was iffy on this album when it first came out, but I realize they must change. I love it.
Seeing you guys on Friday in London. Literally cannot f@cking wait. This will be my 3rd time and hopefully there will be many more. I am 46yo but I’m a proper fan-boy! Most underrated band on the planet and the best stage performance of any band. True artists 🤘🏼🤡
Holy shit! I used to listen to lot of melodic death metal stuff and i never listened to this song before but the intro riff was exactly what i had in mind if i am to write a song..
I was saying to myself "yeah that slow part in the solo seems pretty easy I should learn it one day (FYI I love this part so much I sing it randomly) I looked how they do it AND HOLY HELL even that part is fucking mental ;-; why can't you let some talent for the rest of us :v
thats what im wondering...taking the right gauge with a floyd/trem is very difficult, when i restring my Jackson KEX (e standard. 10-46) i always have to set up agaaain the floyd (its a Floyd Rose Special, dont spect the very best stability) it is worst when you tune that low...i'll tell them to play a 7 string with its dedicated floyd...but obviously is not as comfortable as a 6 string....wanna give a hug to that guitar tech xd
Generally correct string gauges n not sucking helps I live in low tunings on 6's and I mainly have trems set up fully floating and as for 7s, just get a kahler or an ibanez lo pro edge if you want a trem you'll thank the world later, generally speaking they're probably on 12-58's or 12-64's depending on string brand
The volume pot is removed on both guitars. I think it's because it's placed too close to the bridge pickup. I had the same issue on one of my guitars, but I drilled a hole and moved the pot a little bit lower on the body.
This is why the arts should be federally funded, these guys came from music school which is paid for by the swedish gov. an these guys fuckin rock!!! Support the arts!!
