There’s many scenes where you can see spider and quaritch bonding and you can tell quaritch has a soft spot for spider. You can also tell quaritch was lying about not caring about hjm. Shifting eyes is a sign of lying. Also neytiri has never liked spider, and spider knows this since he was little. Neytiri would’ve definitely killed him or hurt him even more at least.
The only reason Jake were found was because Jake himself decided to call up norm (who then ended up not even helping kiri💀). If Jake had just trusted ronal to help kiri, then they wouldn’t have been located
Tay just so you know, AVATAR 2 and 3 was one script at the start, but James Cameron split the script into 2 as there was just too much content for one movie, so in a sense AVATAR 2 and 3 are one film. Thats why there was some loose ends in this film, like not explaining who Kiri's father was, or why she has powers. I'm sure stuff like what happens with their old forest clan will be explained in AVATAR 3. Which comes next Christmas by the way, Christmas 2024..
They definitely destroyed the forest on purpose. As for why Neytiri specifically didn't care for Spider in case no one considered this: everything and everyone she's lost from the first movie was due to humans and the colonel Quaritch was responsible for the death of her father via his attack on hometree as well as her ikran, and Tsu'tey who also died in battle. Her sister was killed by the military. So up to that point she'd already experienced so much loss. And him being Quaritchs' son made it even more difficult for her to embrace him as part of her family. In the end though she comes around in a way, even though she threatened his life and waa in a blood rage after losing Neteyam, she only gave him a symbolic death by just slicing across his chest like they did with Jake when they left the omaticayan and jake passed on the leadership to one of the young Na'vi men. She was just composed enough to not kill him but definitely could have if Quaritch hadn't released Kiri. I think people are a bit too harsh towards Spider abd misinterpret why Neytiri felt the way she did in the beginning. They've both been dealt an unfair hand but are trying to do what's best for those they care about. Spider never stopped being loyal to the Sully's but he did develop a bond with his fathers avatar and since he saved him, he felt it only right to return the favor but his loyalty is what made him go back to the Sully's along with the fact that Neytiri said "a son for a son" which was her way of acceptance. Besides Quaritchs' role in the next few movies is essential to those stories so he couldn't be killed off yet. Hope my ramblings made sense 😅
Spider wasn’t treated as family by the sullys except for kiri and loak, somewhat tuk. Quaritch is the only one who’s treated him like a parental figure and since spider is an orphan, he will be drawn to him. Jack champion spiders actor said the same.
Awesome reaction this is my favourite James Cameron movie and even better than the first. That finale certainly kept me on my toes and had me in pieces. Beyond hyped for Avatar 3 now in 2025!

The guy who got his arm severed by the Navi Whale, I feel like he will come back with a robotic arm, and then he will die and come back as an Avatar, and then he will come back again as a Cyborg-Navi-Avatar. I feel like that is what will happen with that character.

when the general says pacify the hostiles you do realize she isn't meaning like killing them she is meaning to create or maintain peace but cause of jack being very aggressive and trying to get them to leave which he does have a right to do so but in doing so it forces the hands of the humans to try and get rid of him and once he's gone they maybe could try making some sort of peace with the natives. like everyone i watch react to this makes it seem like she is meaning to kill off the natives when the definition of the word means the complete opposite like im on the side of the Na'vi but am open to the peace with humans

U really need to rewatch as u have missed alot and you misunderstood alot of the characters emotions. Netiryi has never wanted Spider around and yes she definitely would kill him lol. Also Lo'ak wasn't saying anything to Spider in a petty way. More like brotherly sarcasm, they're close. Spider wasn't part of their family so they had no obligation to get him back at all. Jake described him as a stray cat too, just always around, inseparable from Jakes actual kids. I can't believe i never realised til now that Jakes kids dont all have 4 fingers. Neteyam had 3 and not sure about little Tuk yet lol.
