Avenged Sevenfold "Remenissions" REACTION - This is fire! 

This song is from 2003 when the band was metalcore back in the day. After this album Matt found himself more attracted to clean vocals, also the band decided to change style because they thought that they would not like to be a screaming band when they grow up. Matt changes vocals in almost every album... From screaming to raspy vocals and finally to cleaner vocals. He is now using his head voice not his chest voice as he said because it's healthier for him. A new album is about to be released in 2020-21 I'm so excited and I don't know what to expect!

I thought "Desecrate Through Reverence" from the Waking the Fallen album was pretty awesome. I actually bought it for 2 songs and ended up loving the whole thing. To be fair though, I haven't heard a song from A7X yet that I didn't fall in love with for at least a few weeks.

Of all the 15 years I've been listening to A7X I would honestly say that this is one of their top 5 best songs. From start to finish, every layer is great I love it.

Fuck yesss!!!!! Sorry.. lol but this is my top 5 songs from A7X. This is also my mom's favorite song, I remember one time me, my mom and 3 of my sibs where going to the city and i had the "waking the fallen" record CD and i put it on, and when this song came on my mom told me she thought this song was good when m shads started screaming...... but when that acoustic part came on she fell in love with this part.... which I UNDERSTAND lol! And then thats when she started listening to this band. Glad you reacted to this! I was wanting to request this but haven't seen you react to a7x for a bit... maybe a day or 2.... but still GOOD reaction B.E.D loved it. Remember to react to "lost" its awesome!! You should try get your 6 year old to get into Avenged🤣😂😂 he will have awesome influences if he takes music seriously Also YES that was Matt ahahha, he has this like monster like scream.... the only other person that screamed was The Rev but you could still kinda hear his voice in his scream

This one is interesting. Remenissions isn't actually a word. The title is a combo of remission and reminisce, which essentially means that remembering the good times in our life is a temporary escape from the pains we go through while we exist. A lot of the riffs on this album were written by Zacky, and Syn was still the new guy but ripped into all of the solos. That flamenco guitar style was very progressive considering how many hardcore punk and groove metal elements inspired the album. This is one of my favorites on Waking the Fallen. Yea this is is their 2nd album. Old stuff. They recently released a remastered version so that’s probably why you thought it was a new album. And yes that’s Matt screaming. This whole album goes hard. If you liked this one you’ll probably enjoy they while album

Really enjoyed the way the song changed moods throughout. I must admit that during some of the softer elements, I heard Blue Oyster Cult. Can't say much more on this song, except that the last few seconds, made me visualise the end of a railway tunnel. set in a mountain side, and the guitar and drum combo gave an expectant feel as though the speedign locomtive was about to burst out any moment.. Seriously enjoyable. On a slightly seperate note, I love seeing the natural mom reaction to every tine sound from behind the set. So real and so right.

This song is from their second album "Waking the Fallen" (2003). One song from this album that I think you will like (its one of the band's classics) is "Unholy Confessions", where I suggest the live in " Rock am Ring 2011" or the live in the LBC version (in the first case it will surely not be blocked). Their newest album " The Stage "(2016) is completely different with songs like Higher, The Stage or Roman Sky. From this album I recommend "Exist" again where you can see a completely different type of music than remenissions.

That would be you picking up on their guitar tone towards the beginning. That can happen with any band if you listen to enough of their songs lol. And the thing with the "weird but cool" guitars was them switching up the time signature I believe. Threw me off when I first started listening to rock and metal but now I love it when its done well and not overdone.

These lyrics are very personal and deep, well thought out. The flamenco guitar playing is great touch too. They have it in hand full of tracks. Might be my favorite from this album.

I love all Sevenfold music and albums, but this album specfically and the one after, City Of Evil, are the two albums that led to my Deathbat tattoo. I enjoy Sounding The Seventh Trumpet, but this album especially basically changed my life and music tastes forever. Start to finish a total masterpiece, and if I recall right, The Rev recorded the drums for the entire album in a single take, which is RIDICULOUS. I miss screamy, metalcore Sevenfold.
