A simple flight with some photos. Showing off the visibility from the canopy of my RV-12 airplane.
NOTE: I mis-identify a taildragger in this video. I call it a Cessna 120, but a sharp viewer ID'ed it as a Luscombe. Sorry 'bout that!

That blue/white taildragger at 6:18 is not a Cessna 120. It is in fact a Luscombe 8A.

My bad! Thank you Rich for pointing that out. I should have looked at the data plate on the plane before I made an assumption.

Great job with the editing sir. Just got some video equipment so I can start recording my flights. Now is just weather and getting done with my PPL. Thanks for the video and keep rocking.

Hello fellow RV12 driver. As always thx for the video - nice relaxation after long work day. I like using hdg bug for wind idea to help with taxi. I’m torn, however, given that I set it to departure runway heading after atis. I then check it when taking active to ensure I am on the correct runway (also operate out of nontowered airport). Anyway I think I like your bug use more - I’m sloppy on taxi wind correction and the RV12 is an awfully light plane.

Thanks, John. It was always my custom to set the bug to departure runway heading, too. I am just starting to use the bug for wind - I'll see how I like it over time. If it makes me a better pilot, then I'll use it.
