I was saying that I wanted avirk to win, which obviously he did, but once you win you can't compete again until the finale, so I have to wait another 4 weeks until I can watch him compete again. The High Level MK11 Gameplay has evolved a lot since it was released.. Avirk, as always, Great Gameplay! Illusions too! But im thinking Jade, as Illusions Main, is a Low Damage Character, that's how Avirk had the Advantage.. When Illusions picked Johnny Cage, Avirk was already in the Zone.

I've spent a lot of time thinking about this video. We all know Avirk is a good MK player and not a 1-trick - he played a great set against Sonicfox using many different characters. But he's also illustrated why MK11 is a broken game and basically a chore to play competitively. After playing for probably 3000 hours and getting to level 89, Avirk has figured out how to play MK11 optimally. When he is really trying to win, the rules are simple: 1. Run Scorpion 2. Grab a lot 3. Use Hellport sometimes but then just cancel it and grab After getting to level 89, he's just concluded that Scorpion is the character with the best options and that, of all those great options, grab is the most useful of them. Basically to fix MK11 there need to be other viable options: - Characters with toolkits as good as Scorpion's (either buff everyone else or Nerf scorpion's kit by increasing the start up and recovery time for his specials) - Options that are as good as grab (Improved short hop attacks? Safer down-3? Faster and safe mid height moves? Well, back to work for me...
I agree, you'd think that pro players would actually play professionally but not even they are immune from playing like scrubs. This set was so unentertaining to watch considering Avirk's gameplay!

If I was fighting someone and they grabbed that much on me, I would just stop trying to escape and try to actually avoid the grab (ik it’s easier said than done) because it’s not worth the kb. I’ll take the 140 every time.

Illusions jade is entertaining to watch and avirks scorpion has grown on me. Gg avirk to make to finals, hopefully illusions win in week 6, 7 or 8 and join finals.

People mad about the teleport cancel throw. Keep in mind guys, it's a two slot move AND the without the cancel teleport is punishable. It also costs a defensive bar. Whereas some other players get free teleports in the game. So two slots just to make it safer - because it's still punishable on reaction - just harder to. It's pretty fair all things considered. Especially, since Scorpion doesnt have good hit confirmable mids. B2 and F3 are both two hit strings that are hard to get alot of damage out of. The cheese is when he whiff punishes after jumping to bait an anti air and teleports to the other side. That's what I hate most. Sometimes hit advantage on hard knockdown don't even matter. Scorpion is already in the air punishing me.
Hokum Doodie yes but its a guessing game. Guess the wrong throw and get punished with a 31% kb. And they have the audacity to give the character that throws the most a second kb 🙄

@@Shockwave231 most jades I've played before run back and zone. His jade is pretty good. A irk has a really good scorpion. He gave sonic fox a hard time.
@@jaxfan Illusions does zone too. When he uses Emerald Defender he zones very well. You have to pay attention to what variation they pick. I knew about virk since the first lockdown. Hes been good
Scorp, Sub-Zero and Noob. Definitely sick of seeing seem them constantly in the KL. As a pretty poor skilled PC player who has mained Jade most of the time, i was unable to do anything against those heroes especially the first two.
@@blujguitar6520 Are you sure about it? There's no way to counter his ice ball, inevitable long-range high damage dealing punch which mostly ends with a krushing below, even slide. Jade's dodging shadows skill lasts pretty short that renders her vulnerable to such attacks.
its always funny to see all the scorpion hate on MK post like he isnt one of the most unsafe players in the game to use..all while nerfing one of the only moves that makes him effective ..if left to the MK community, scorpion wouldnt even have a spear move anymore lol
