I believe I have an Avital 5303 on a 2005 GMC Sierra. The battery died in the 7352L 5 button 2 way LCD transmitter. After replacing the battery, now it will not transmit commands to the system, but it will receive command notifications if I use the standard 4 button 7143L to lock, unlock or remote start the vehicle. I also purchased a new 7143L transmitter due to the mother board wearing out in the original, but it appears the system will not enter programming mode. I have followed all the instructions for programming with no success. Any suggestions on what could cause the 7352L to receive but not send commands, or why the system will not program new remotes? Thanks so much for any help you can provide.
Timer mode is the only thing I can think of. It's activated by pressing lock and unlock same time inside car while running on key power. Should start every 3 hours up to 6 6x's or initial key is cycled . Other than that you may have a different system, but only received the basic remotes. Or something else within range is consistently trigger at mentioned time such as another neighbor garage door or keyless entry
It may be in timer mode, but I cant seem to stop it.. I mashed the brakes after it started one time, tried to turn it off with the key (but it wouldn't turn off that way) and I used the remote. But I read that the remote wont stop it from being in timer mode by pressing the star button.... I just dont know what exactly to do.....
Also, nobody has garage door openers near me and I stay a good distance from someone else that would have a keyless entry... it is possible that my wife accidentally pressed the lock and unlock at the same time a few days ago though, I just want it deactivated some type of way...
I have the Avital 4103. Just added a remote fob. But the fob does not lock or unlock my car. And only remote starts when I hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time
I need help. My trunk use to be alarmed as well if for example i opened it w.o unlocking it first. Now when my car is set on alarm and i open the trunk w. key theres so sound of an alarm. How do i reprogram it again
I have the avital 4400 and I had my keys in my pocket and some how I accidentally pressed something. Not sure what I pressed but the alarm still arms but no siren. How do I get the sirens to chirp when arming and disarming the alarm
I have a 4105L installed in my 2011 canyon. when I use the remote start when my doors are in the lock position my truck will start but the horn alarm goes off until I unlock the door
you have a install or programming related issue on this install. a shop with knowledge to make the truck disarm before start needs to address the issue, or may just unlock, then start and that may keep from waking the neighborhood . best of luck
With most remote starts on vehicle with a standard key, you would get in close the door turn key to on position and depress the brake pedal to disengage the auto start and key will take over. if key is not in correct position engine would shut off and most likely you would need to remove key then reinsert and start as normal.
I have a question... I have the same system I believe on my 2002 Lexus rx300... the problem I am having is that it appears to be in some type of timer mode and my vehicle starts everyday on it's own at 5:39 pm.. How do I deactivate or stop this function? Thank you...
man pls help mb u know The problem started after I accidentally switched the button with a long pin, remote start then stopped at all, then I returned the button to its original position and the car began to respond to remote start, the lights turned on but the car does not start, I do not know what to do
I bought this 1998 toyota camry, it came with this Avital 4103, but when I press the remote starter button it cranks but nothing, it repeats 3 times and nothing. Any ideas what could be the issue. I bought it from the auto auction . I'll appreciate any help.
place the key in the ignition and leave off, then try the remote start feature. If it starts you have a security key and something with the security bypass is not functioning and you should seek a professional shop or leave as is
@@kyleharden5260 Hi Kyle, the car came with 2 metal keys and the avital remote, when I tested the remote like I wrote then I turned the key to run position when I pressed the start button the car started fine, and I haven't checked the car afterwards, I saw your video and wrote about the issue with my camry.
Hey mine does that too I realized it’s because I was holding it down. That might be your issue? Just press it once and let go. For some reason when I’d hold it down it would start and then turn off, or like you said crank and not start at all. Not sure what that is.
The Silent mode that I demonstrated in this video is only a temporary option to silence the horn while locking. If you have this model and you cant verify that it even honked with lock features, the installer may not have even wired the horn option
Did you ever figure this out? I have had this happen only a few times and it just happened recently but I have forgotten how to set it with the key fob. I remember the door needs to be open and a sequence of buttons need to be pressed but I forgot the order. 😕
