Fix for when your remotes are working but car stopped responding, here is the link to the manual with further programming instructions: www.directeddealers.com/manual...
Thank you, your video saved me a trip to the pro-shop!!!!!! Simple reprogramming of Avital remote got it functioning like new. I did not find the on off switch but the LCD 2-way Remote and my Trailblazer have had an intermittently dysfunctional relationship for months. Very cold weather exacerbated their inability to communicate effectively. Last night I had to cut the wires going to alarm horn because remote wouldn't disengage alarm and I had to go somewhere. Today I used the tips of the wires I'd cut as if they were the button -touched them together once as if pressing the button, and then paused and held them together while holding down the lock button on remote for like 30 seconds. The doors locked and I heard the alarm activation on my remote. Hooked everything back up and it now works like it's brand new!
Thank you so much. The reset/program button on mine was on the module itself. So if you have trouble looking for a button like his in the video and don’t see one. Check the module right next to all the wire connectors, there is a little black button there. Follow the same steps in the video. My starter hasn’t worked in 1 year because I gave up on it. Thank you so much for sharing and I hope my comment helps anyone that’s confused. PEACE!
This person just save me money time and I’m in a freezing temperature in Chicago with 12 below freezing temperatures.. thanks brothers it took me under 2 minutes to get it fix 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank God! & Thank YOU! There was one other guy that had a similar video pertaining to this & so while I watched both I was gaining the confidence to attempt to do it on my own since there were mixed stories of folks that couldn't find the button or messed up how their car started in trying to (re-program) their automatic starters. I'm glad I was able to follow the simple instructions posted & that it was in fact installed correctly, thanks again! Reformed O.
@@do7hemath937 : I can't say for sure, given my system is probably close to the same age my car is which is a 2007 model. I basically did what was instructed here. It took a few tries, I'm not gonna lie, but it worked for both specific fobs I got in the mail that were just like the initial one I had. I wish you luck for yours.
@@ReformedOrderPart2 good looking out. I tried this today with both keypads I just got in the mail & it didn't work. I made a appointment to have the installers program them 4 me the end of this week.
@@do7hemath937 : Yeah, I'm sorry you didn't get those to work without the need to re-program them (professionally). Not sure what initial key fob went with your system but it's usually coded or an exact model that was the default to your alarm that when you do the following steps this video instructed should have worked. But for all we know it could have just been how it was initially installed from the get, in having the problems in connecting the 2 devices up. Keep me posted. :-)
Thanks for the vid. I found that I had to leave the driver's side open to get this method to work. It's the "Valet" button which on the 5303 has a black and black with gray tracer for the wires going to the button.
This may be 2 late or even incorrect, maybe it doesn't HONK because your alarm is in silent mode. When they installed mine, I asked them to set it up so it doesn't make any sound when the system Arms & Disarms.
Question for anyone out there, I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 (4.7 litre if that helps) but i had one of these installed and it worked just fine but recently i put a new battery in my truck and ever since then now when i press the remote start button IT WILL start my truck but now the blower motor for my heat WILL NOT turn on while running until i put my key in and press the brake pedal and then itll kick on. does this mean i need to do a reset like in this video?
Is it possible not to have that reprogramming button? Mine was installed professionally as well, i did open everything underneath twice and i see no button at all, wonder if there is another way to do it?
you don't by chance know how to ajust the activation duration do u? i have a jeep and the 4.0 inline six starts good but shuts off right after starting with the remote as it didn't stay on long enough.
+Walter Null Bulletproof engine, had a 4.0 myself at one point, I havent' had to adjust the activation duration, but I'm pretty sure you can find that info directly on the link found in the description. Good luck!
nismo armada mine too has the same prob but i keep taking it to the shop at where they do these remote programming and had it fixed and the prob keep occurring again and again. I think i will need to change the remote start and go in for a different brand
We got a used suv that came with an Avital remote start in it, but hours of looking, and there is no button installed, and the vehicle is too old for the dealer to tell us who originally installed it. Is there any way to reprogram the remote without that button???
My remote start and set up looks like this and I'm having this same issue with the remote not starting my car but it unlocks and locks it. The only difference between my car and this video is that my set up under the dash has a toggle switch not a push button switch so I don't know how to do this with a toggle because there's nothing to hold down. I don't know what to do.
You are not going to believe what fixed this for me. My Avital has the toggle and no button. The fob locked and unlocked the car but when I tried to start the car remotely, it tried to turn over but never started. So, it seemed that programming wasn't the issue. Unbelievably, I needed to disconnect the positive terminal on the car battery, for something else I was doing, I left it off for about 5 minutes, hooked it back up and the fob starts the car every time now! Don't ask me how or why, but it's worth a shot! I'm loving mine now! I walk out of this Texas heat into a car with the AC already blowing now! I hope that helps someone else!
@Abdul Tahmas My Avital remote locks and unlocks but it won't start the car. The car cranks but it doesn't start. It sounds like it's not getting any fuel. I had a brain on it previously, but I had to keep resetting the device because it would randomly stop working, so I switched out the brain. Now, it won't start at all. Please help
The problem started after I accidentally switched the button with a long pin, remote start then stopped at all, then I returned the button to its original position and the car began to respond to remote start, the lights turned on but the car does not start, I do not know what to do
I’m not if I’m doing it wrong or what. But when I press the lock button and the program button at the same time, my car went into panic mode. Need help!
I'm installing the same system. Lock and unlcok works but when I hit start, it goes to accessory mode and then shuts off. It does this three times in a row and then gives up, lol. Any ideas?
I was able to get it to start thanks to your video but now when I press the button to turn off my lights start blinking. I have to press and hold the button to turn off instead of just pressing it once. Anyone know how to get that back working with just pressing it, thanks in advance
Didn't work for me. I'm sick of this stupid fucking remote. Mine was working for a while and stopped after I replaced the battery, it arms the car alarm but won't lock, unlock or Auto start it. When I try to auto start it it won't crank at all just spudders. This shit is a poc. I'm thinking about getting it removed
