So I just received my Oster #1 back from Clouds. It’s far better than new. I bought a brand new #1 to use while Clouds was resharpening and tuning my old blade and the comparison is remarkable. I guess I’ve got to send in my new blade for service. Totally professional and incredibly reasonable. Awesome!

Cost? For cheap trimmers I would just buy a new one. My Wahl, that came with my hair clipper, works well yet. I use it for my beard since I don't like to shave. I just "mow".

Nice try, but the machine you are using is also flat...
@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973

It appears flat to the eye, but there's more too it than what can be seen. A flat profile can be ground into the blade, and with the proper adjustments, can be made to cut. However, when you offer clipper blade sharpening to professionals, getting the blade sharp is only half the battle. Getting that edge to hold for months at a time of everyday use is an entirely different thing. You cannot successfully achieve this with flat blades. Feel free to reach out anytime you have any questions and thanks for watching!

How much do you charge per blade? Also , do you have a price list for multiple blades? Thank you

Any chance y’all might be selling clipper sharpening systems in the near future? 👀
@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
Thanks for watching! Selling machines would be easy, but after being in the industry over 20 years, you really would need the proper infrastructure in place to do so. There are several companies that sell machines that do a wonderful job on the education side which is extremely important after a machine is sold. Perhaps in the future, but as of now, there are no plans in place to do so.

The short answer is no. Cause they wouldn’t have work lol.

Silly question if the diamond disc you’re using has a curve! Why are you moving it so much?? Kinda defeats the object?? Might aswell use a diamond stone? Or is it my eyes telling lies?
@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973 8 месяцев назад
Perhaps "curve" isn't the best way to describe it. The disc is not flat and is machined with specs that leave a specific profile on the underside of the blades that we're sharpening. Our motion across the wheel is an important part of the process and works to our advantage of leaving a profile on the underside of the blade that prolongs the life of the edge. Diamond stones are normally flat, and create a flat profile on the underside of the blade. For us, a flat blade is the same as a dull blade.

So you are saying that wheel also has an abrasive on the surface?

@@michaelmedeiros2089yes, after cleaned the plate is prepared with "adhesive" there's different ones, and then Aluminum oxide grit powder applied over it.

Do you have any videos of you showing smaller blades before and after sharpening
@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
That's a good question. We have numerous videos showing blade sharpening but not sure if there's a specific one showing trimmer blades. Good idea for a video though. Thanks for watching!

Are you referring to the flat diamond plate used in this video? They can be purchased from several places online. For our clipper blade sharpening plates, they are all custom made to our specifications and cannot be purchased.
