One big thing to note on the decline of the homeless in the last 2 years was not because any of the issues have been resolved but rather we had an extreme number of people die due to fetenal overdoses

I just sold a small studio condo in San Diego for 350K. Please tell me real estate is reasonably priced compared to that - also, Jacksonville looks beautiful. My husband and I are looking for a decent place to retire. San Diego isn't it any longer.

Another minus is that Medford is getting crowded, but instead of widening roads they are narrowed some of them to add bike lanes that hardly anyone uses (McAndrews, Main St in down town) causing huge back-ups in traffic during morning/evening commutes, not to mention the stupid roundabout on Springbrook that makes it almost impossible to get out of our driveways during commute times.

Um, Medford does get earthquakes, somewhat regularly. Nothing incredible, usually no higher than a 4, which is basically a free hula lesson. But Medford has had two 6.0 since 1900 so it’s not unheard of and can be expected again despite the infrequency (no, I’m not predicting one soon). I know this because I am an emergency manager for a federal agency with offices in Medford. It’s a fact of life for all of the west side of the Cascades to the coast from northern Cali to Vancouver BC, live with it or don’t move here.

I've lived here 30+ years and felt one very minor earthquake in that time. I guess anything could happen, but if someone is worried about an earthquake, I think this is a pretty safe place to be. Two over 6.0 in 124 years isn't very frequent in my mind...

I love Medford, It;s way better than it used to be when it was "Deadford, Bored Again". F all the haters! Why do you think there's so many homeless and rent is so high now. It's because so many folks want to live here, duh! When I was growing up everybody, including me left as soon as they got old enough. I came back tho'. The Valley is kind of like a hole. It sucks you back in. Still, much better than it used to be.

Conservatives? Give me a break. We have the best services for the homeless and helping them make transition into housing. Our 5th season is smoke. It's depressing.

I lived there from 1997 to 2022 and seen lots of changes. The area i love. I started having kids and moved away to raise them away from where medford will be in 10 more years at this rate.
