I noticed that too! Having lived in St. Pete for 12 years, I found that statement either laughable or ignorant!

Those of us that grew up here in the 80's still consider St Pete part of Tampa- TAMPA METRO AREA...I understand how you may not agree with that but its just how it is LOL

@@TampaLivingwithEm You can consider it that way all you want - - - but it's NOT!! As one who lived in the Tampa area and also St. Petersburg, I KNOW I had to travel a DISTANCE and over some bridges to get from one place to the other.

There are some bigger companies out of St Pete so yes it could be harder to find a job but if you are remote you have the best situation!!

I AGREE!!! They have some programs in place to subsidize renovations to keep some of the history of the property but sadly don''t really promote it/people don't really know how it works. ITS A SHAME!!!

I work with all ages and frankly, even my retirees are offended by retiree communities LOL... BUT our 55+ areas are mostly FUN and clean and have a TON to do. I can't wait till I can get my golf cart and live with 55+ people! But there are families that reach out to me as well as young professionals and I wouldn't be doing my job if I let them fall in love with an area they do not know and then find out there is no one their age or in their situation around them. I wouldn't want that as well. So ... it's good for some but not for all :)

But I would have to say along CENTRAL ..they have so many bars to walk and hop to!

HAHA well I am speaking more about the people I come in to contact with. I don't follow our local goverment THAT closely so I am giving my perspective. I assume there is always a differting view but it comes down to who you hang out with etc...I live in an urban area and am in a bi-racial couple so my sphere of influence is a melting pot. I am sure others have an oposite view. But its all about what an individual focus/ sees for themselves , you know? But also I should say...the fact we have a Republican governor, Conservative congresswoman in Pinellas and a Liberal Congresswoman in Hillsborogh proves my "balanced" point of view. I think its a good thing instead of everyone being one way politically.

They're both liberal. Heavily liberal. St Pete and Tampa. It use to be a decent area when it was conservative. And there was alot less doodles. Real Floridians don't drive that way either. We enjoy the speed limits mostly. It's doodles from northern states that act crazy and don't drive well. They have a problem respecting the wishes of real Floridians. You know like with that stupid Flagler Monument in Miami. Only doodles think it's amusing to turn freedom and open space into a circus 🎪.

Sadly ALL beach areas are busy with people. BUT if you stick to areas that don't allow Air BNB then they are calmer/more local feeling. Politically speaking we all mix together nicely when we are at the beach:)...so it would be hard to determine WHO is liberal and who ISN'T LOL But...you are in a RED state here in FLA if that helps!

It's the Dems who usually do this and try to politicize everything. I had a career in politics including working for Reagan, who turned out to be a Dem after all, and so did Trump, and I know that because I was theoretically a classmate but I doubt he was ever @upenn. The right thing to do would be for someone like Elon Musk or Peter Thiel to step up and give this guy another chance so that his fate can be decided on the track.
