We have been taught what we “should” want, but no longer know what we actually want, and we often confuse the two. Did you even what to do it in the first place? Are you doing something just to please others or other’s standard? Why should you? According to whom, which rule book? Please share your thoughts on this topic in the comments below, or any tips you may have.
Should has control connotations. Just remove it from your vocabulary completely. It will please yourself and others to remove the word. If you have to express an opinion (which isn't necessary most of the time...most important is to listen to another)...Instead say, have you thought about doing, have you thought about the choice of..., what do you think about the choice of....how do you feel about the choice of....what does your heart say about...let the other person decide for themselves, only offer choices and possibilities. Only they can decide for themselves. The same with yourself, think about your choices and possibilities and choose your action. Only you can decide for yourself what is best for you.
