I always enjoy the videos showing RuPaul in his early days starting out in the business, he climbed from the bottom. A youthful, idealistic rough around the edges pre stardom Ru in contrast to the refined, wise and battle hardened Ru of today.

I love how interactive everyone is...no phones, no ipads to distract and isolate. It seemed so much more wholesome and people are involved with eachother instead staring at screens.

I was at a square in the Netherlands the other day and saw a man that genuinely looked almost exactly like Nelson, only he had a beard. Crazy.

Almost every person featured in this Atlanta trip series of videos has lived into old age. Just thought I'd point that out, as I see there are some revisionists in the comments trying to explain Nelson's intentions in filming by stringing their own strange narrative together. He wasn't filming his friends dying of AIDS, his first video log is self dated by way of a built in camera feature to '83 when AIDS was still a pretty select knowledge possessed solely by the medical community (and known as GRID) and, as it turned out, he was blessed that his group of friends were not getting sick, he was simply filming.

Nelson had the chill house. Im sure they all lived there in one way or another.

I remember Mr Musto, I used to work at a store called Janovic Plaza my location was at 4th ave ..he came in a few times asked me some prices then we started talking bout writing and his job n my job He didnt like when I said to him...so what are you gonna do when everything goes digital and your out of a job?
