I am sorry but as much as I love your channel ?!?…I think arguing antinatalism to Natalists is nonsensical b/c both in my view are existential perspectives NOT an inherent want or need of human beings… It need not be expressed in any political way…nor philosophical…NOT even as a form of activism! We only have one life…in my book it’s nobody else’s business how we live it- that means not the concern of our families, the state and society b/c in the end we all die alone… And what we are and our purpose stops being a major concern when we are dead!!! I can tell you this…It would be far more easy to argue antinatalism by demonstrating it through living one’s lifestyle honestly, through types of Art- like music, painting, writing…instead of wasting spittle on talking our points to Trad-Con. Thinkers like this person in the video. Each person defines their life through their life choices…it doesn’t matter to me if there are people like JPAwaken who think Antinatalism is wrong-headed thinking and those who are deciding not to have children are somehow evil… I know when I am dead their views will not matter but will have no meaning to me b/c I will be dead.

@@SparklySarahexactly, and the fact is that the least competent and most ignorant are breeding the most, like out of the 1000s of things one could be doing, and they can't find anything else better to do than to have kids (Just seems some evolutionary programming at work, like the need to pass on your genes to live on or some kind of void to fill), or their life full of a void, that's not smart but ignorant, they can't just go on live their own life, because their own life is already so needy & pathetic, or devoid of meaning they need to make a distraction, have a kid, to take care of it's problems which you created by imposing on it. So you can feel like you're accomplishing something, actually getting somewhere, except nowhere Just a planet full of animals evolved with mechanism to seek or make up a problem to solve, chasing their own tail, and end result just more of us ground up, Wasted misery & suffering. All for Needs that didn't NEED to exist. Life solves no problem it didn't create in the first place.

Today I was told (by a man) I am evil because as a Turkish woman I choose not to get married (to a man) and have kids. Sure …I’m so evil I rescue stray animals. I’m so evil that I volunteer for many ngo’s incl. earthquake awareness (huge ones are expected in Istanbul!!) I’m so evil that I worked within the human rights field for years but left after seeing the evil there, and I’m a vegan, an atheist, an antinatalist, but probably worst - I’m a happily single and asexual woman. As a breader i couldn’t care less what you do with your body. I take care of my children and will continue to do. I’m happy with them myself and they bring me joy. My problem starts when people Start to push anti natalist propaganda. Or ,,make kids,, I’m not biased. "you'll die alone" Possibly, my mum died of cancer, she was so high on medication and her body was shutting down so badly the last time I saw her she wasn't awake or responding to me, I got a call at 4am saying I needed to get to the hospice. but it was too late she had passed away,. So my point is just because you have kids doesn't mean you wont "die alone" not that she was alone, she was with the great staff at the hospice, should I have been there? Yes, but thats what I have to deal with myself.

Every nursing home is filled with people who are there due to old age, that have kids they haven’t seen in years, and will never see again. Expecting your kids to be your retirement plan in the modern world is a stupid gamble.

I don't have kids and never will; I love children and care about them but I chose years back not to produce any. Especially since 2020, no way. I would never put an innocent child in this planet. It's just pure suffering for them. Society tries to make us feel guilty and feel like shit for not reproducing; but don't feel bad. Or guilty. What people choose to do by not having kids is up to them and if people disagree, I don't even argue. I give the finger and just tell them to mind their own business. I don't feel guilty. I'm actually not doing it for their good and safety . Yes, it's selfish.

It’s not incredibly selfish, it gives the gift of life to a person, then you sacrifice day in and out for that person so they may have a beautiful life like yours, preferably a better one. That’s why most parents want their kids to have it better than they did, and why most parents want their kids to outlive them.

If you haven't created the baby yet and then decide to; that would be your fault for them force jabbing the COVID shot on them. We are in several wars and our country is being invaded and it's very unsafe. To expose a child to this world today, just is bad. I'm sure you have a good heart and mean well. Children are a gift, but right now isn't the time. It's too unsafe for them . Based on feelings and ego, I want a son and daughter. But I know it wouldn't be right.

I'd also argue that the idea that those values are exclusively tied to oneself and one's own needs is not a very convincing one. 16:20 I think having kids for the purpose of having a free hospice nurse is a bad argument because a lot of kids just put their parents in nursing homes and never bother to see them for months or years. I remember I was listening to a story on a childfree interview, about a woman who spent half of her life raising two children and she came to the point where she was dying. Her kids literally lived down the street from her and never visited her on her dying days. The people who took care of her on her deathbed were her friends. They bathed her, messaged her, cooked for her, decorated her room etc. The nurses working in the hospice were surprised that so many people showed up for her because usually all the dying patients are abandoned and left alone to just stare at the wall, suffer, and die.

What's wrong with him is he thinks you can only form a human bond with someone if they are a child. Children are helpless and therefore attach to adults easier because it increases their chances of survival to do so. He can't connect to adults because they aren't as clingy or naive as children. They don't need him. So he can't feel love from them because he's broken. Exactly like my parents

Historically, in western societies in particular, you were only allowed to have kids if you met certain requirements. It was illegal to have kids if you were poor, or part of a low social caste, amongst other things.

I remember when JP first started making videos and comedy sketches and the left thought he was funny, and that triggered him. Apparently, he couldn't handle the left thinking he might actually be on their side. 😂🤣 That being said, some of JPs views can be reasonable (like trans women in sports stomping on women's rights, or neopronouns being ridiculous) when he's not God preaching or trying to further brainwash the audience into nationalist, hateful propaganda. He's a right extremist in the making, for sure. 😮‍💨

I liked JP earlier on before he ‘found God’ lol. He’s entitled to his opinions just like anyone else on the opposite side so I’m not fussed by this but it doesn’t align with me personally. I’m more conservative leaning but knew from an early age I never wanted children, it is what it is. I don’t go around trying to convince anyone to not have them as that would be a d!ck move but if someone asks me I will tell them my reasons. It’s just about having the freedom to choose which I would have thought JP would be all for.

It astonishes me how ignorant people are like JP. A few days go, I was right outside of a bar (no one was drunk and I really do rarely* go to bars,) when someone I just met in my neighborhood kept cutting me off when I gave my opinion that no one should have kids or if they have any now, to stop having them. I mentioned I was an antinatalist. This person who's 37, kept telling these young men who were 23 and 25 years old that they should still have kids. These young men seemed on the fence. I wanted to give my reasons for my beliefs but I was cut off several times. The young men though, also didn't care for what I was saying and dismissed me. All three of them were men so I think sxism was apart of it but* I should say I (know) most men are (not) sxist at all so really do hope no one is offended by my comment. I also never look my age and really am middle aged so they dismissed me when they thought I was younger (one of them said I could be 29 or 30 though?) Sorry about adding stuff that has nothing to do with antinatalism or about this video in particular. Its just what happened to me recently. There’s a difference between living life in a way that affects yourself vs having to bring another life into existence just to bring you pleasure & meaning. If I’m playing a video game, great. I’m not affecting anyone, but myself. However, if I bring a child into existence, it’s not fair to the child as I’m using them for my own selfish pleasure. We should be able to seek pleasure without having to use others. It’s unfair. We shouldn’t put the responsibility on others to give us fulfilment, happiness & satisfaction, we should put that responsibility on ourselves - find different ways to make us happy & fulfilled that doesn’t resort to bringing another life into existence.
