I liked your comment because you stated your ideas very well and politely, however, I like to watch his videos and try to guess what he is building, and there's always the reveal at the end. I was glad to see him apply stain and sealer to finish it off.

I am a beginner to woodwork, the main test I have with this bundle ru-vid.comUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt is that I think that its hard to settle on a choice of the plan and outline to use as there are a large portion of them there. Nonetheless, I like the simple stride to step directions laid out there.

Sir, you are a true Master-Craftsman. I salute you. Although, I loved all that you did, I must admit I took the easy way out and bought an equivalent bench from Harbor Freight Tools. Regardless, I do thank you for sharing this video of your design with the RU-vid community. I truly wish I had one-tenth of your innate natural talent. God bless.

When using Forsner bits... you should make the counterbore before the through hole. Other than that minor procedural item... looks like you did a pretty good job of it.

Clever design, well built and very nicely demonstrated. I also love the lack of music and nonsense dialog ... it was easy to watch and maintain concentration on the subject at hand. Well done and consider me a new sub. Cheers!!

Nice job. When using multiple sizes of forstner bits it is best to use the largest first, so you don't lose the center for the next bit. Drilling all the way through as you did first means there is no place for the larger bit that makes the nut recess to be absolutely co-axial. I always jump to the end first, to see if it is worth watching for 10+ minutes. Why not edit the video to show the end game first, how it will be used. It will also help the viewer understand why you need to glue up stock, etc, what aspect of the use requires stock that size. Just suggestions.

Here is a tip. When you glue two boards together the tend to slip around as you clamp them. I noticed it happened to you here. If you sprinkle a little bit of table salt in the glue that will give enough grip to not slip. Not a lot just a pinch

I loved woodworking. It used to save you a ton of money making your own stuff. But now with the prices of lumber it’s become completely just a hobby. Mostly using repurposed stock. A sheet of plywood went from 12 bucks to fukn 55!!!!

Prices will go back down. In the meantime, the way to make it affordable to make your own things is to sell stuff, too. People have gotten tired of mass produced garbage that costs a fortune, falls apart, and has no character. Give them something beautiful, function, and rarely seen at a fair price, and you will be able to afford to support your hobby.

@a..d5518

😦Clamp it up.😂 Yep, the vise screw needs a 1"(2.24mm) board on the end that would travel in a channel, made of 1"(2.24mm) X 1"(2.24mm) stock, to keep it running parallel with the bench top as it moves in or out during adjustment..

Looks nice dude, but its only good for some machine workshop. In the end is clear, that for handtool woodworking it is too wobbly. Proper workbench (I made moravian style for myself with handtools) is far better option. And I would love to know, what are you doing in advance, not at the end of the video. Thanks.

Am I the only one who noticed the nut for the vise screw is on the wrong side? All of his clamping power depends on glue holding that nut in place. If he had reversed that jaw, the nut would be on the backside and unable to be pulled out.
