A few of them have potential, but most are really dumb. Like, why photocopy the backside of your YT-platter, when simply putting a strip of painters masking tape (or any tape) on the back of it, across the 2 mounting points, mark them with a pen, then remove the tape and use it on the wall. This is not only easier, will also work on objects too big to fit on to the photocopier, it doesn't waste an entire sheet of paper, or use up half a toner-cartridge in the process, not to mention that this doesn't even require owning a photocopier. Bottles with crimped-on caps is quite the thing of the past around here, so unless we find something similar, we can just toss the "tips" involving those out the window. Turning 2 wooden beams into 1 by using metal plates? - wouw, such ingenuity, why haven't we thought of this before? - Oh wait, we have (feel free to spot the sarcasm). Except the once we use around here are premade from galvanized (as in stainless) steel and also comes in 90° angles, as T's for connecting 3 wooden beams... the variations of those go on and on. - I think I have to stop my rant here before getting too depressed.
What does the rush for money do... To think that you know everything about DIY and to use inadequate tools, for example to use the PH screwdriver on a PZ screw, and the soldering machine uses exactly the opposite. This man is far from having a brilliant mind.

Смотрю и думаю - насколько глупо было изобретать шканты, достаточно лишь на черновом бруске закрепить саморезом шайбу, просверлить её в 3х местах (керн использовать строго запрещено, для этого существует клейкая лента), опилки собрать при помощи магнита( прямо 3 в 1 сработает секрета, о котором мало кто знает) и в эту гениальную по решению конструкцию забить вкривь брусок (не до конца, сама шайба же не позволит, если предварительно не подготовить брусок, сделав углубление при помощи фрезера), ровно будут мешать разбежавшиеся гвозди(всё решается опытом после 300+ повторений). Люди, ранее использовавшие шканты, скорее всего , увидев эти простые в исполнении лайфхаки, рыдают о потерянном времени.
