Thank you for sharing your story, Danielle. My 3rd Aya ceremony was just as you described yours. After watching your video, I clearly understood that mama Aya had the same message for me. I was deep in her beautiful world separated from my ego but once it'd start wondering about the issues that brought me to Peru and asking her to show me the answers, it'd hear "it doesn't matter, just have fun" over and over. I remember even laughing at how insignificant my problems seemed as I was deep in my experience. Thank you again for helping me better understand my message

You're so welcome Katya ❤ It really is amazing how quickly we shift back into the ego, even when experiencing something so beautiful 😆 And I've received that message - to just have fun and not take life so seriously - so many times as well! It's a powerful reminder. Thank you so much!

I had a similar thing happen on Ayahuasca, I was doing it to deal with a big traumatic issue that had put me in therapy for a year and now at an Ayahuasca retreat to deal with it and Aya pretty much just told me it's not a big deal and it's already been dealt with, move on. It was definitely not what i was expecting. Aya then had me laughing about the issue using a clever metaphor, the complete opposite of what i thought would happen. I was expecting tears. I found it hard to connect with this message and was confused on how to integrate a perspective that wasn't mine, but after a few months some how my attitude seemed to have changed to the new perspective Aya had told me. I think Ayahuasca opens up new pathways in the brain during the ceremonies and over time you start using those new pathways which helps with the change.
@daniellerateau
@daniellerateau 11 месяцев назад
yess I totally agree with what you said about opening up new pathways! And I feel like she also plants seeds in a way that we might not understand or resonate with at the time, but as the seeds grow we start to shift our own perspective and see things in a new way.

Yes every word of this is true. Its hard because it cannot be comprehended by the mind. It is a knowing. Its very hard to get past the Ego and the Mind to find our true self. Quiet the mind!! It is right within you and does not need found! The ego and mind must shed or it will keep you from your true self!

Yea....Ayahussca always tells you whats up....always reveals the contradictions to authenticity and Love. I just completed a 2 day ceremony yesterday. The experience this time illuminated outward judgement and how it creates so much suffering and upset in my life. The solution that was given: "Let Love guide your every move". Beautiful wisdom!! Now comes the challenges of integrating that wisdom. Aya will work with you, but not for you. Such beautiful challenges come to light with Ayahuasca. Its not easy to face our inconsistencies or contradictions, but life is so much harder when we deny them or don't realize they exist. Congrats on the next step of your quest towards authentic being. "Get over yourself" Thats so funny. I realize it may not have been funny to you at the time. Ayahuasca certainly does have a personality and a humorous way of bringing things to our attention [It's never judgmental]........ but only if we are ready to hear it. Seems like you took it.....fairly well.... LOL Thanks for sharing your experience.
@daniellerateau

haha ayahuasca definitely tells you what's up 😆 wow "let love guide your every move" - how beautiful is that. So simple but so profound. And yes 100% ayahuasca has a sense of humor, that's for sure. Enjoy some time to rest and really soak up the integration space so soon after your ceremonies! Sending you a big hug.

I really struggle with the balance here. I very much resonated with the "how can I heal - can become an addiction". For me, my obsession with healing has most definitely taken away from my ability to actually be present for any of my life. I struggle with letting go of this need to heal though. It feels to me that by just "letting go" or "getting over myself", I am essentially agreeing to accept myself with all of these unresolved wounds that stop me from living fully and keep me living from fear. I don't want to accept that as is. While my perceived issues or trauma are most definitely on a pedestal, there is a comfort in knowing that I am not giving up on myself or these issues and will keep fighting to try to resolve them. There is a part of me that knows though, this obsession, certainly the way I have approached it has gotten me nowhere.. Thanks for the videos!
@daniellerateau
@daniellerateau Месяц назад
Thank you so much for your heartfelt comment. I can resonate so much. I definitely agree that there's an aspect of balance that is so important in all of this. What I've really come to believe though, is that we're already healed. That's not something we can "lose". So the idea that we need to heal is more about reconnecting to the Self that is always whole and healed, exactly as we are. Once we come to that realization, the letting go is easy, because the illusion falls away. When I think of the message Aya gave me to "get over myself" I believe it was to get over the egoic version of myself that was holding onto all the trauma and beliefs that kept me small. Now, I do believe there is work that can be done. Especially because there is energy that gets stuck in the body, and old belief systems to shift. I think rather than "accepting" those things it's about finding a lightness and joy in the process of moving through it. Not sure if that makes sense haha. Sending you lots of love!
@Isaac12361
@Isaac12361 Месяц назад
@@daniellerateau That all does in fact make sense and is something I am working towards - making the illusions fall away so I can rediscover my true self that has been there all along. I just hope it doesn't take my whole life to get there so I can start actually living the way I am ultimately meant to! Anyways, thank you for your response. Really special that you take the time to interact and connect with us viewers. Very much appreciating your content and trying to let it in. Until next time!

This is absolutely a message for me. It's like I already know all this on some level, but for some reason, I always get sucked back into caring so much about my body and how others see me. I wish I could walk away from this video being forever changed... but I feel like I actually need Mother Aya to hit me over the head with this message. Haha. Soon, I hope 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@daniellerateau
@daniellerateau 11 месяцев назад
Oh my gosh...ayahuasca DID hit me over the head and I'm still not forever changed lol 😆 But one of the most important pieces in all of this is self-compassion and allowing ourselves grace to slip up. We're going to have moments when we fall back into old patterns, but as we grow we can shift out of that mindset more quickly. The awareness piece is a huge first step. I feel like I need to make a video on the body image piece though! It's so important

@daniellerateau Thanks for the reminder that consistent work still needs to take place post- ceremony. I am on a huge path of self-discovery and healing at the moment. It is the hardest thing to change old thought-patterns!!! But, a worthy quest!!!

@@refreshingtwist it's all part of the journey!! and honestly part of the fun. Sometimes it doesn't feel that way lol but I always try to remind myself to not take life, or myself, too seriously. Just be kind to yourself and others, follow what brings you joy, and enjoy the ride. Have you read the book "Breaking the habit of being yourself"? That's such a great one for mindset and thought patterns.

I would definitely recommend saving up if possible, to make sure you're able to go to a safe center or retreat space. You could technically find people selling ayahuasca online but you have NO idea what you're really buying, and it's so important that you work with trained shamans and facilitators. That being said, there are definitely some places in the States that offer aya in a safe way, and it would be less expensive than traveling out of the country.

Out of curiosity, do you know any gay people who have partaken in Ayahuasca ceremonies? I have found that gay men tend to struggle with body image and vanity too, myself included. I am trying to get into the mindset of as long as I take good care of my body and I am kind to myself and others, that is already enough. I had an interesting year when I started taking Psychedelic Mushrooms and I feel like it started to shift my perspective on not getting too caught up on things like youth, body image, and how other people perceive you. I thought Ayahuasca could help me go deeper to get more into alignment with myself.

Hi Zheng! Thank you so much for connecting ❤ Yes, I do know gay people who attended the ayahuasca retreat where I worked. And I absolutely agree that there is a big struggle with body image for gay men (we've had that conversation as there's often an 'expectation' or 'ideal' they feel they need to live up to). From what I've experienced and witnessed, I do believe aya can be incredibly healing for those sort of issues. Like you said, shifting perspective, and also a deeper sense of connection and reverence for ourselves. Seeing beyond just the physical.
