This is by far the hardest boss I've fought, more difficult than Signora and Ei. His attacks are so bs. You have to dodge his stomp, the rotating spheres circling the field, the falling rocks from the sky, and more bs. I wish my Ning's jade screen can also cover the ground impact 😭

After fighting this boss, the Geo hypostasis fight is like squashing an ant

oh man this is so enjoyable, i get to fight a boss i wasnt prepared for, while also testing out a character i dont use. very fun

You can fight his lvl 70 version for farming talent materials. First, prepare some food. Healing + DMG + Shield strength. Second, get a healer. It can be Bennet with good energy recharge, Diona, or even Barbara. Don't use Noelle. She needs a lot for her shield to work well. Third, watch this video a few times to learn his phases and attacks. The crucial thing against this boss is how you dodge. That's why you need stamina food. This boss will be dropping some shield particles, collect them. Don't panic if you got marked, it's not that bad. Use food if needed. During the electro phase just get close to him and do damage. The boss is not that difficult. I don't understand why everyone thinks it's impossible to beat him without Zhongli. If you get each of his attacks in your face, Zhongli won't help you.

The boss is so much easier to dodge when you attack him from behind due to his tail slam being way more easier to dodge and this tip allowed me to beat him more reliably without a shield character

Bruh Bennett just cleansed the hydro debuff in front of your eyes(5:09 if you guys wanna check it) . I've used bennett in this fight and he does cleanse the elemental debuffs.

Ganyu is broken here, I just stay very far from azdaha and do 26k every bloom. I can dodge water debuff but electro is a bit hard so I carry diona for a sheild. I cleared it on my 2nd try on mobile

I'd use venti. His air current skill is very useful to avoid the stomping aoe. And he can combine with his burst will all other player elements.

I haven't tought about it this way before but all the current banner characters have a shield

Xinyan can cleanse those debuffs.she really help my whole party.

I fought this boss 3 times and didn't even notice half these mechanics 😅 Damn Zhongli is giga-broken! I just put his shield up and stood there facetanking everything without a care in the world

This felt really cool and fun. Definitely one of the better parts of 1.5 for me. The bigger the geovishap the more fun it is to fight for me it seems

I just fought the level 90 version for the first time, and it was possibly the most epic fight I've had. I used so much food, and had to retreat strategically. Also he rotated fire and ice on me instead of water and lightning. Thanks for the good tips on making distance to deal with some of his attacks.

I love it, he's super tough. To beat him I ended up doubling up on shields with Noelle and Diona, he still flattens me sometimes, especially with orb of reverse phoenix down.

This makes me so happy that i unexpectedly pulled Zhongli yesterday, that fight is AWESOME

The way to beat this character is to stay close to him untill he goes underground, just stay close to him with zhongli and Barbara to tank and heal. Then switch to your dps and Burst him. Also co-op is much easier imo since you can get carried

The electro missile has a 8 pointed star as an indicator, the AOE is the indicator itself AND it will also hit towards the directions of the star's points. That's the missile's aoe

Here’s a possible tip, just stay right next to him and run around, my Zhongli isn’t super built yet but I still beat him first try and the lowest I got was 4K hp on my Ganyu. The attacks such as the electro tail, missiles, and water balls didn’t affect me at all.

I got Zhongli on my 11th wish and the moment I raised him to 80, I 9 starred abyss floor 12. I couldn't pass 12-1 before but with Zhongli, everything went butter smooth. I could only wish 15 times though so I couldn't get Yanfei :((

bennett burst can also cleanse or remove debuff btw , you can notice at 5:09.. Other abilities like jean burst , xinyan shield are also effective.

Note: every week it changes elements

Someone's probably told you already, but the elemental debuffs can be removed if you can activate a shield of an opposite element: hydro for pyro/ cryo for electro.

Used all the primos on the banner, but Daddy Geo didn't appear, so these little tips help a lot! Especially knowing you can't cleanse the dot, haha

4:29 false, Jean cleanses every single one of his debuffs, and i havent tested others but if she can I’m sure a few others such as bennet could Edit: he literally cleansed it with Benny at 5:12 and still said you can’t cleanse it lmao

I have a feeling that this boss was meant to be fought with Zhongli, w/o him, well it'll take your patience away before you beat him 😅

3:46 I took that attack head on and survived during the zhongli quest (I had Noelle and zhongli’s shield active)

I went in with zhongli without a plan and beat him easily. I didn't even know he had so many mechanics.

I unlocked Diona and Noelle's new hangout event and now I have to wait 2 days to do the quest

For this fight I used Zhongli, Venti, Childe and Qiqi. Since he didn’t move to much I spammed venti Ult with cryo and freeze it with Childe

You can cleanse the elemental effect that is placed on you by using a shield, even after you have the effect on you

The only boss qiqi useful when facing 😂😂

So just give up on any characters that need his special item? K

Let's remember that we will also have 2 other elements with phyro and cryo. Thats gonna be scar and thats EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED. This is such a fun fight

I'd say that the lightning phase is his soft enrage. You can withstand it for a while but not indefinitely. Geo and Water phase are easy. What annoys me most, is the poor readability of the segments when he is under ground. It's sometimes difficult to see where the safe spot is.
