What a wonderful SOUL Lou has! Other youtubers monetize their extended videos to the hilt! Not Lou! Other modelers make a sales offer of an "obsolete model" Not Lou! I now know why I keep hanging around Lou. It's that wholesome glow Lou gives off!
Hey Lou, I came across your channel last week and have really enjoyed the Razor Crest build and I binge watched your PG Falcon episodes, fantastic! I really love the content and the way you explain what you are doing in a very light-hearted and fun way. Great stuff!
Wow Lou, that came out so awesome great job my friend. On a funny side of a comment...you have those days of just knocking over one thing or another on the table like the days I have Ugh! lol thanks for posting and sharing and again FANTASTIC work Lou.
Hi Lou, great work as always. I wish I was as confident as you, to paint over everything with a brown wash and be sure it would wipe off without ruining my model. Incidentally, did the decals on my Razor Crest yesterday (Friday) and was also stumped by the numbering and that one on the bottom. I went through the exact same thought process trying to figure it out. I did however use the one on the bottom, I did that one first and used it to line up all the others.
Man that really turned out good Lou. I love what you can do with a model kit and I'm very excited to see what you do with the one I'm making for you and the others. That is, if you're going to be interested in even building it. I sure hope so. I made some good progress on it this last weekend. Thanks for sharing Lou.
I’ve enjoyed this series on the crest, I hope thy bring out an N1 starfighter soon. Picked up a few tips and tricks too. Looking forward to the next one
I binned the cockpit decals because they positively jumped off the backing sheet, it seems that I have to source the potion you used, looks ace mate 😉👌
A truly wonderful build. I have enjoyed all three parts... but ... OMG, I just noticed. Is that the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch on your desk?? Brilliant !!
Looking great Lou. I just got the outland tie fighter with the split wings when landed. I can't get the Razor Crest in Australia, I had to order mine from the Czech Republic. When I'm having sizing issues, I always do several different sizes on one print so you can dial in which one is the correct size. If you keep track of which size is which model, you can then print as many out at that size that you want. There are also sizing calculators where you can work out the percentage that you need to be given the starting size and the finishing size (for those who aren't good at that maths thing).
I found that when I print, if I change the size, it takes away all of the supports that I spent time creating. So I just duplicate the fig and print a bunch.
Bandai has their stipes go below the lower edge of the hull as well. Interesting - I wonder why both companies had set up their markings that way. Great now I have to modify/scratch away the paint I had put on my itty bitty version. Bandai’s decal colour is actually more brown than you have shown there. I’ll have to go back and see what you did with your little one with those markings. I didn’t use the stickers, I had painted my markings. Since I didn’t have the same colour as Bandai had chosen so I had to mix up - not exactly a great match.
Great paint, great kit, I just found out that many details of Hasbro's razor crown are not very accurate compared to the original show, I hope Bandai can sell a larger size of the razor crown.
i originally did, but then realized how much they would cover up that I decided against them. if there ever is a nice 3d file made (for free), i might print some up just to lie around
Hey Lou, before you throw away that can of chrome spray paint, I want you to do a test for me. Take a test piece of plastic, it doesn't matter what it is, but try to choose something with a smooth flat surface and give it a coat of gloss black paint first, THEN use your chrome spray paint on it once it is dry and then let me know if it makes a difference in the outcome of the reflectiveness of the spray paint. Okay? do this and I will subscribe and like every video you put out hereafter!
Don't worry about the colour of the Razor Crest Lou, it never was chrome to begin with, more of a polished metal look. I think your colouring is fine. I have watched every episode and i know i'm not colour blind.
Great work, Lou! It's too bad that the $350 Hasbro Razor Crest doesn't have any lights. If I were still a builder, I would have gone for exactly the same lighting as you did.
@@aztekdummy No doubt. Obviously the folks that designed their 2008 Millennium Falcon were nowhere to be found for the Razor Crest. Anyway, nice work again, Lou. I look forward to the next one!
I am scandalized at that shade of "orange." More like mustard. There must have been some hard swallows and "Look over there"-s when that batch of decals showed up. Ah well... Round 2 can make it all better. And Q-Tips! who would imagine they suck! The Aldi "Dr. Well Now" brand is much, much better-- dare I say even for ears. I had to get a full price box of brand name Q-Tips a while ago-- I tell ya, I never took such good care of my ears. Why, I would use two at a time in one ear just to get rid of them quicker. The ship shapes up beautifully-- love the extra work on the interior, lighting and all. I see you did not add that satchel on the wall that you spotted on that still frame... Even a nice base. Know what you mean about running out of space. I'm starting to toss things out of my basement. Hard task-- like a Chinese sliding tile puzzle. But that Aries should be worth it. Perhaps it's time to add my regular "josh" about building another addition on the house... ?
Lou, did you paint a gloss black under the universal chrome? It's designed to be used with gloss black to reflect. I didn't believe it the first time I tried it but I was assured it would work and it did.
Well Lou , this is Fantastic...if I may ..could I have your other model i would love to pay you for that , and it would become a brilliant model to add too my vast collection of models here ...fabulous video .. thank you ...
@@aztekdummy thanks Lou for that I'm quite a few thousand miles away from you , but i would love to come over and get it I live in Tunstall , Staffordshire England .. bless you good friend ..
Hi Lou how much will it cost for you to send me a printed Mando figure as I have the razor crest kit I'm building now but no 3D printer lol cheers Lou 👍
Lou, I almost spit my drink onto my table when you said "Commando"! The Razor Crest came out awesome! Can't wait to see what project you start next. Any Dalek kits in the stash? -John
@@aztekdummy I have that set! I missed out on the Doctor, Martha and TARDIS though. I also have a Sevans Dalek which I'm building the nerves to start. Lol! Those vacu-formed kits have challenges all their own. Thanks Lou, take care. -John
