AZURE KING?! Bungo Stray Dogs Season 1 Episode 6 Reaction! 

An interesting fact about this episode was that it was actually one of the light novels based around the past of BSD. In the light novel, this was actually based right after Dazai joined the agency and was written from Kunikida's point of view, so there was no Atsushi in the story yet..

The pacing on BSD is slow and fast at the same time, I dunno how to explain but that's how I feel haha

I love that Season One really takes the time to set up the characters and the worldbuilding. Its so so great and I can't wait to see the rest of your reactions!!

My only complaint about this episode is that the changed it. The light novel was not this. It was dazai's entrance exam but they changed it. Highly recommend that you read it. Perhaps after season 1? You should have enough information by then.

again ill clarify for you! season 1 is a compilation of different ada cases, while season 2 and 3 have a more continual flow. season 1 is episodic because it introduces the characters to the viewer, but in both s2 and 3 there are overarching villains that we defeat throughout the 12 episodes, the episodic element of s1 pretty much vanishes entirely and i along with many other fans feel this was a good change for the show. episode 7 is really good, actually one of my all time favorite bsd episodes, so im looking forward to your reaction! the plot twist at the end is pretty good and the ride it takes you on paired with the awesome fight scene in between everything is really just the cream of the crop. JUST TO CLEAR THIS UP, dazai's name is pronounced "dah-z-eye" and not "duh-zai", the latter way of saying it is alright too but most people pronounce it the first way so id just like to tell you that lol many people drop the show after finding out how episodic it feels in s1 but i promise hang on just a bit and season 2 will blow ur mind along with s3 and the manga if you decide to give it a read. fun fact- the azure king arc doesnt exist in the manga, its an adaption of a light novel detailing dazai's entrance exam. it pretty much goes the same way as in the anime, but everything is in kunikida's point of view and atsushi doesn't exist. after you're finished i recommend giving it a read if youre interested because it really gives u insight on kunikida's thoughts on dazai and the rest of the agency.
