Operation of an Bühler extruder, showing different sequences: assembling of the screws, start-up, production, emergency stop, automatic screw push out, recipe change, shut down.
I almost cried while watching this. After spending all my savings to buy a mini extruder that produced nothing, while my fishes are hungry. I gave up, but after seeing this, I will keep pushing forward, I will get this machine one day.
this video is awesome. anyone know what these materials are they're pushing through? The brown looked like food, then the orange was plastic, then the fluid at the end was a cleaner? EDIT: i think it's all food now
I work with similar machines but larger and less... optimized. Our die faces are two piece, and the barrel slides off the screws instead of the screws pushing out. We make all kinds of cereal like fruit hoops, dots, puffins, and tons more. Everything is manual though, like to start the machine up there is no start process button you manually turn the screws onto the right speed, at water and liquor, then start adding powder until you reach the correct amount in the run conditions then send it through a huge toaster, into a huge bucket elevator then into totes. We do like 100kg every 10 minutes.
We make Dog treats and cat treats /food. Our Extruders are probably 15 foot long. Some even larger. Funny watching this video and seeing this tiny machine. I operate both Twin and single screw
