I remember as a kid when this commercial came on . my father wanted to get this game even though we only had a Atari 5200. Lol he didn't know it was on a totally different system and my mother was against getting another. I do currently have this with my intellivision collection and think its a great game.

Intellivision games were so ambitious for its day. You'd think the Colecovision would have the most creative games but that is quite the opposite.

Because Coleco unlike Mattel focused on beating Atari by focusing on Atari's strength at the time, bringing the arcade experience ar home. So colecovision was focused more on making arcade ports as close to the actual arcade version as possible. While Intellivision was focused on having more complex and advanced games

I just got Intellivision lives for the PS2, and B-17 bomber surprised me. Its pretty brutal. I wanted to bomb a 30 point German destroyer far away in the Baltic, but German FW-190's took out both waist guns and the nose guns, and after bombing the ship, ran out of fuel and had to ditch in the channel. First time I ran out of fuel, I actually made it back to England!!! We must have glided onto the airstrip!

That's a lot of functionality and complexity for a game where solid colors represent sky and terrain features. Having weight shedding be a major function in the game would be awesome.

I want to thank you for the huge laugh from seeing your video. Laughing hysterically because I had intellivision new, yeah I am an 80's kid. Hearing the opening screen with THAT VOICE brought back so many memories. It was one of my favorite gems that I had forgotten about. I had 'Choplifter' on Apple II also. It wasn't a video action game, but a IQ game making you think. Apple had 'Lemonade Stand' that was fun and teaching aid ...

Wow I never knew about this. Amazing really.....I love it when you find an old game that successfully offers some depth. I knew an old WW2 bomber veteran, he was so modest, his memories were crystal clear and often quite funny. I love anything like this.

Hey, we love your shows! You don't say bad words. Plus so much arcade fun. I personally built a tabletop Arcade cabinet with a 13 inch tv using B-17 Bomber and the Voice Module. There is a secret target to bomb. It probably is the German Head Quarters. It's the farthest target you can get to. No geez I love the intellivision cause of games like this but sadly I am horrible at these games meaning the games that take time to get use to. So I feel like I never really get the fullest enjoyment out of my intellivision games cause of that but still one of my favorite systems

This game was interesting for me because of a weird glitch. After a while in practice mode, if you kept missing targets the score would overlap itself and would look all funny.

Bombing England lots of times would also make the score display weird characters after a while.

Which do you prefer? This or Ace of Aces?

That's a tough one. I like the graphics and missions better in Ace of Aces, but I like the voice and ease of bombing in B-17. IIRC, you need to be perfectly placed just to bomb in Ace of Aces. If I had to pick one, I might go AoA, but it would be close.

My youth. Safe cracker Dracula triple pack space Spartans super nova shark shark burger time nova blast skiing all good. MTV bought the rights and you can still play a few although you will pay for it on the IOS APP STORE BLESS
