Saw Quinn Sullivan Last night in Count Basie Theater with Buddy Guy. Great Concert. Absolutely an amazing talented Musician at only 18. He has no where to go but up !
this kid is the real deal, the blues is not something you can play mechanically,, you have to feel it, and young Quinn has it in his soul. what a tremendous honor for him to play, as an equal, with these legends

I went to see BB King in Rochester, NY back in the 80s. Like a fool I got so drunk I barely remember any of it. Also lucky to get outta there alive according to my brother.
The good lord took Stevie Ray Vaughn away from us too soon, but look at this he gave this child to us to enjoy, he will never replace Stevie, but close your eyes and listen to this young man play......sounds like Stevie to me......... Quinn you are amazing!!
uhhhh no. he's an amazing talent for sure, already better than most of the blues guitarist on the planet....but he doesn't sound like SRV. nobody did except SRV.
I just came across Quinn while searching Buddy Guy videos and am the same as GymFloozie (but obviously not speechless). Thoroughly enjoying and admiring his style and talent and makes me love Buddy Guy even more for "mentoring" him. But mostly I'm commenting to push the trash talk down further on the page so it doesn't distract or take away from something lovely and good. Hat's off to Qunn, Mr. K and Mr. G! I've been a Quinn fan for over a decade. I just had some yahoo arguing with me that he isn't a REAL blues player. So I spent the time to find this clip and sent it to the dude. I figure my opinion isn't important. But if Buddy and BB say he can play, you might want to listen. No, the guy has not responded. LOL

What is the kid 12 or 13 and you guys are saying he is no where near SRV or Jimi right but for crying out loud look at how old he is...and ask yourself how good will be when he is 27 or 37 or ...

I guess any other profession would have worked, I have just seen so many talented musicians give it up and do other things way before they should have given up on music, this kid is off to a hell of a start, it would be sad to see him hang it up.
Speachless. He's Buddys brainchild, but i sincerely hope he listen a little bit to B.B. as well. BB is the sole evidece that you can do this business without any help of dope. A talent beyond imagination.
