I have a question about the B-Hype. Would it be suitable for a semi-acoustic setting? (ac. guitar, 2 vocals, Nord piano) We play country, blues, rock'n roll music. I'm going back and forth between this B-Hype and a Mackie Thump. Also Would you recommend a 12" or a 15" when playing relaxed gigs up tot 100/150 people. ( without a subwoofer) Thanks for the review and I hope you can help me a little.
They are both Db and Mackie in about the same price range, but the db speaker will most likely last longer than the Thump. For me, i would go with the 15", i like the sound from that speaker the best in the B Hype line up. For the price point it is a great speaker.
Hi! How do you think these compare to the previous cromo series? They seem to be right around the same pricerange and seem to have fairly similar specs although the cromo series seem to have bit higher wattage output. Thanks in advance!
They are about PAR, these are design as MI level boxes for music stores, etc. to complete with some of the other lower end speakers , Mackie, Alto, etc.
Hello i am planning to buy 2 b hype 8,for house parties ...i also have a jbl 15 " sub 350 wrms...do you thing it would be loud enough for that use?? Thanks!
Does two of these work for small sports event's pa-system; main purpose is speaking; result list and presenter's speech and little bit background music when no speaking? Thanks! It is outdoor event.
They look really pro but I'm just a little worried about the 200 hundred watts output, do they sound loud? I mean , may I couple a pair of these with 2 18 inches sub 500 RMS each one, I know by the review that they sound fine, but I'm just worried by the output.
The B-Hype is MI store product , if you want to go to next level look at the Opera Series, they, for the $$$ are really decent. The BHYPE will do well for smaller events were not a lot of RMS power is needed and for a entry level price into a decent speaker
I am considering this and the Carvin Stagemate battery powered speaker 10", i need something for wedding ceremonies that I will use for backyard house parties as well, needs good volume, bass and range for the wireless mic. What would you recommend?
The BHYPE is good, not a fan of any Carvin equipment. Also, in that price range look at the ALTO TS2 or TS3 speakers...much better than the Carvin equipment.
@@trinityprosound I had the opportunity to demo the Alto's over the weekend at Guitar Center, had to pass on those, the Bose S1 pro sounded great just didn't have any guts, guess I will keep looking.
More of our audience equates power first vs. SPL just because of the lies and the way that many other brands present their power ratings. Many state "oh we have 3000 watts, in reality with true RMS watts maybe 700...so we like to get straight to that point vs. SPL as many of our customers, still do not understand SPL ratings that well, as well as "what frequency was that max SPL taken" all do not rate the same.
They are about the same for power and specs...i really think they are made by the same OEM company in China. For what they are and the price point either one will have about the same performance and audio quality
thats what they are there for, to heat up. ive used db for years and years, no worries there. 4 days and nights non stop in the sun etc etc red lining with 605d opera speakers and no probs whats so ever
