Great song, great lyrics. I'm glad she enjoyed it. We all don't react to things the same way, including rain. Her reaction was the correct take on this Oscar winning song.

The rain is just a metaphor in this song to life's inconvenient setbacks and you can't complain about it because you can't change it or stop it , you have to accept it and keep moving forward and keep your chin up..

I love the rain too - everything you said plus, the sound and smell. I found out recently, that the smell has a name - petrichor 😊
