One time during a show Marko broke the heel of his boot. He decided to throw his boots away and noticed that through his feet he could feel the music way better. Since then he stopped wearing shoes whenever possible. Great reaction and Hyvää Joulua!

Not a song, but a 15min short Floor-"docu" on Dutch TV (CC for English subtitles). It's a class reunion of the Rock Academy where Floor studied (1999, very first group of students). Also partly filmed right before, during & after Nightwish's legendary Tampere 2015 concert in Finland. Parents were interviewed and also Marko & Tuomas ("she's at home, doing this") had their say. Warmly recommended. You'll get an even deeper appreciation for Floor as the loveable & down to earth person that she is. Just a beautiful version. Marko is singing in Finnish, Floor in Latin and English. They have done this song more than once, also performed it at the 2017 Raskasta Joulua. Marko and Floor always sounded great singing together. At this same 2019 concert , Marko sang a song called "Varpunen Jouluaamuna" (Sparrow on Christmas Morning).

In my opinion, Floor and Marko are the best vocal pair I have seen in rock / metal music in the last 50 years. Skill, Credibility, Emotions, Charisma, Love etc. Finland has had a tradition for about 20 years, which goes by the name "Raskasta Joulua" (Heavy Christmas). Very modest at first, but now over several years a big tour around Finland, where several metal musicians perform. Singers come mainly from Finland, but often also from Sweden. - As Elize Ryd has been involved several times. Nightwish singers Tarja Turunen, Marko Hietala and Floor Jansen have also been there often. Marko is one of the most involved throughout the years. The tour has grown so big that even TV shows one concert or part of it before Christmas. A few suggestions, maybe watch these Christmas related videos together? Regarding Floor’s dress: I can’t remember whose it was, but she is either wearing her mother’s or grandmother’s wedding dress. She was given that by her mother or grandmother, which was beautiful on her.

Not sure if you want to expand your reactions to comedians, but in any case, I suggest you check-out a Finnish comedian named Ismo. Aside from music, laughter is the best medicine! I grew up with my Mom playing all those great female artists you mentioned and special shout out to Joni Mitchell. Her album, Court and Spark, will always have a special place in my heart. If you want to continue down the Christmas path in relation to Nightwish, you should react to their cover of “Walking in the Air”, from the Christmas special “The Snowman”. I will caveat this by saying that for Nightwish, it predates Floor, and predates Marko. It’s with their first singer, Tarja Turunen. You’ll definitely enjoy it, plus see how they originally sounded, which ties into the story of The Poet and the Pendulum.

One of favourite renditions, even allowing for classical versions (being by Schubert). I like to think Marco went barefoot to emphasise Floor's height and so he could rest his head on her shoulder comfortably 😊
