Larry introduces the B&T APC-556. He's a big assault rifle guy, so this gun was an exciting find at Shot Show 2015. With a SCAR-esque look and slim feel, this gun is a well built assault rifle.

@@ninjagaming5482 How many people are you going to ask that? No, it's not a SMG. SMG's are select-fire (full-auto capable), short-barreled PCC's (pistol caliber carbines). This is a rifle length weapon chambered in a rifle caliber (5.56 NATO/.223) with a folding stock. It is an assault rifle. I hope this answers your question.

The bolt movement is so linear, with lockup like a bank vault. Usually, you see wobbling and flexing of the frame, etc on high speed cameras. That thing must have crazy good fit and finish like their newest SMGs.

This gun reminds me of the CZ-805 BREN foregrip and lower receiver, with a CZ-3A1 upper reciever and the HK UMP-45 stock and barrel. it's a beautiful weapon all around

Great videos, I love the B&T APC line. Incredibly easy to place shots, even in full auto. The plunger in the back definitely seems to keep these guns right on my shoulder, making follow up shots sights quicker.

it never happen, because it's not military contract firearm. And it's nothing better than G36/ACR/SCAR. They are weapons from AR18 design.

I really love this style of bolt hold/release. I'm glad there are more manufacturers stepping towards that manual of arms. It is completely superior to other designs IMO. Its just fact that it is less movement to operate the bolt in that manner. My only complaint with these style of weapons when compared to the AR is that they don't have the slim/long handgaurd we see any modern AR's

Got these in the long 18.8" barrel config in Canada as unrestricted. Comes with Loather Walther barrels. Damn pricey but what a great coyote gun this would be. Next year I think I'll take the plunge.

Just approved for Canada by the big heads at the RCMP lab!!! this platform is awesome! Much better than the SCAR. (Which is prohibited in Canada anyway) In use and go to weapon in Europe by many ERT & SF groups. .223/.556 approved for now and looks like APC9 is on the way to approval as well! Best thing is - there will be a 19" non restricted version!!! as well as the shorter restricted versions. Expected price for this up north approx 3,300$ cdn.

This is such a cool video. I love the slo mo then normal speeds. Great commentary and very informative. I keep a tactical mini 14 as my shtf go-to but I'm looking for other versatile tactical rifles with common rounds (in case of ammo scarcity) and I think this video really sells the APC-556. Thank you for this!

Woah, if they removed/reduced the upper tier charging area by a bit (0.3"- 0.4"), you could have one of the best and slimmest profiles in terms of height and width. Looks very nice.

Yes, but it can’t be any good - reciprocating bolt handle. And remember, it is not an AR. LOL - love to to see it stripped down to see what is inside! Newer production APC223 has fluted barrel - lighter front end.

If I could do it over again I’d be pretty damn tempted to get the APC in 300 blackout instead of 9. Either way these are mp5 killers and run like sewing machines, and I LOVE HK. But damn the Swiss can make some guns. Holy hell.

I'm all for competition, but I really don't understand the market for these guns. There are so many rifles out there at the moment, why would you buy this one? Sig 556, AR, Tavor, and yet companies continue to make new designs. Are these new tactical style intermediate rifle designs really profitable?

Hey Larry do you usually go to other countries to test guns? If you ever come to Brasil go to "Instituto Defesa" Or to "Imbel" to test the new Brazilian Assault Rifle, or the Brazilian made 1911 they under go several torture test's they are the official military guns here in the country, even in the special forces or police forces

What is the rate of fire on the rifle? I think 400 to 500 rounds per minute to be the most controllable rate of fire. What do you consider the ideal rate to be? I always wondered what a pro thought was an ideal rate of fire in an Assault Rifle and in a Submachinegun.

I hate whenever someone shows a video of a fully automatic rifle or pistol they somehow find an undying need to show it in slow- motion. The main reason I click on videos of full auto guns is to see full auto rock n roll mag dumps not boring super slow motion clips of the bolt going back and forth. That's not an assault rifle, That's a Full Auto Modern Sporting Rifle ;) Nice firearm! I'd be interested in it if it came at a reasonable price in Semi-Auto but I will assume it's priced "competitively" with the SCAR-16 at a cool 2500 dollars or so...

It's available now for around $2900 off brownells.. a little to steep in price for me right now =( I would love to have the 300blkout version if they ever makes it state side(after i get my finances together of course). I'm still pretty new to rifles but would anyone like to explain to me why people are still choosing to SBR the 5.56? I've read from various places that the 5.56 doesn't perform quite as well as a 300 out of a shorter barrel.

Hey Larry could try and get your hands on the new gen Remington ACR? I loved the Masada but Bushmaster destroyed the ACR, I've heard some elite Military and LE units have been running Remington ACR's here and there and really like them. I'd be interested in your opinion and maybe with enough attention we can get Remington to release their ACR dumping the Bushmaster POS.
