Baba Dee was actually the evolution of Afro pop, after junior and pretty ,that was what came to my mind during all the Idris saga...Remedies was da bomb that year though! Baba Dee dey rap Sha...RIP Sultan, respect!
Seasoned interview - personality, and conversation. Several words on marble was also shared by Baba Dee. I celebrate and honour Baba Dee and Sound Sultan’s contributions to Naija’s entertainment. Sound Sultan’s lyrics always spoke to the government and an average man’s experience of, and in Naija. Teju, I respect your consistency since Diamond ring and till date. It stands out as a class of its own. Honouring people comes to you naturally; from KSA interview, to how you are able to find people from our childhood entertainment memory and the interview questions an average person would be curious to know. Thank you! When you relocate abroad, your people and memories become most important part of one’s life. Thanks for helping us stay in touch with our legends❤
Sultan that wasn't close to me. Even though he knew me from a distance, agreed to do a song with me just like that! He met me at the studio on a Sunday and refused to take any money, drink or anything. Only thing he drank was water which he brought by himself. Very humble and simple guy.
Sound Sultan was a gem. I remember when he came to MC our show in UI in the year 2000 I believe, I pray he continues to RIP 🙏. Shout to Baba Dee, great guy.
The only new generation artist that mentioned BABA Dee on his song is Ruger. The song titled "warning" I was so impressed when the young boy mentioned BABA Dee and Sound Sultan then.
Thank you for this!! Love every bit…I really love the ending on “calming down”. I am literally shutting off my computer to go crash…We are by His grace not the hustle.
This is my best interview so far 👏👏👏. Baba Dee is very wise and really took us down memory lane. May Allah grant Sultan his brother Aljanah Fridaus and forgive his shortcomings. Amin.
Great guy..... Honour us with his presence at our Association Night (Architecture Student Association,Yabatech,2004) free of charge & even brought Azadus & Face along.Sound Sultan,Great Guy,May His Soul Rest in perfect peace.

Oh yes! We were told good stories about you egbon (baba D) and that you were the best Directing student during your set in UI. You also came to perform during our Theatre initiation night at the Department of Theatre Arts, University of Ibadan. I could remember how you were respected.. You still look good bros..! Choboi…!! 💪
I fell in love with Baba Dee's craft as barely a teenager and then I chanced on Sound Sultan then fell in love again..MITV and AIT tried those days..lol.. i absolutely loved the duo and their art.. They gave us great 'childhood' memories.. Grateful for the gift that was Sound Sultan and big up to Baba Dee for keeping it real all these years❤
well done interview baba Dee the inventor of the Afro beat and RIP sound Sultan na Naija kill am tear gas fume after fighting the government.. na person way know go know...
Baba Dee is simply on another level of maturity and a solid understanding of not just the industry but life itself! Everything is said about Sultan is true. I know Sultan and had the opportunity to work with him on a song and we toured together with 2face in 2008. Sultan was very disciplined and dedicated. And very funny and full of energy! Those days were so sweet. God bless Teju and Baba Dee for sharing.
I recently left Nigeria and it's not been easy, but I have been working really hard to continue with my passion/what I was doing in Nigeria. Baba Dee just encouraged me and I will keep grinding hard and never settle for less.
Thank you for bringing Baba Dee to your show.. Could you also bring Lagbaja (Bisade Ologunde) please? We would also like to see him on your show. Thank you very much.

Baba Dee I couldn't agree more with you. You did great with your late brother Sound Sultan and history will never forget you guys. You're absolutely right. I respect you a lot and I see you as great human being. Thanks for your beautiful music you gave us 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Watching this interview has given me the courage to keep pushing in the UK, cause it's been over a year here and I still feel like nothing makes sense. This is just one of the motivation I need not to give up.
I don’t know you but i want you to know that it’ll get better. Be grateful for where you are now. Our journeys are different but i left Nigeria for Australia 8 years ago. It was not easy for the first 18 months, but now things are far better than i could have imagined - the people around me, people i was able to lift up and encourage, and as a by product the ability to travel anywhere in the world. Believe in yourself, be true to yourself, work hard, work smart, be good to people. Don’t compare yourself to others, your time will come. The material things i have now are just a by product! You are capable of a lot. Peace and health.
@Patience, keep plucking away as the good parable says "... good things don't come easy..." This is from someone who's been in London over 40 years and loving my life here.
It was refreshing listening to baba Dee, he’s sound and down to earth. Baba Dee wasn’t myopic, he knew what he wanted, he had a purpose and executed it. Relocating out of Nigeria when he rose to stardom says it all. Teju baby face God bless you and keep up the good work 🙏
Nice hearing from you baba dee long time ago DTD happy day every Sunday @ lekki beach I love you wit the inspiration you carry my people at that time I love you segun de dancer Micheal Jackson I love you all
I hope/wish to meet Tẹjú one day. Always been an admirer. Your final words are so relatable to my current experience and this song comes to mind: mba tí tètè mọ pe ibí ori gbéni de là ń rè... Mba tí tètè mọ má tí joko sílè bàbà mi...
Truth be told Mr Teju, you are full of wisdom and I want to appreciate you sharing your wealth of knowledge and bringing amazing people to lime light to learn from their experience. Kudos 🙏👍
This is intensely rich, and I think everyone should watch and listen to learn and be informed. Thanks Baba Dee for the truth expressed on here. Thanks @tejubabyface for bringing this to us.
The latter wisdom nugget of this edition should be a regular stake in all of the episodes just like the brilliant oratory and introduction you always start your shows with…. King of talk by a huge mile🙌🏾
Grace to finish well I pray Lord. We all are growing old! Grace to everyone of us to draw closer to God. Serve the world with your talent but don’t forget that in the end; we will all give account to our maker! Jesus is Lord!
